Beautiful hotel and lovely staff, but style outweighed substance for us El Fenn is a beautiful, stylish hotel in a great location, and the staff were excellent throughout our stay: warm, helpful and professional. The interiors and rooftop views are striking, so I understand why many guests love it. However, for us, the overall experience did not quite justify the price. Although multiple pools are advertised, the only pool area that felt genuinely usable was the small rooftop pool; the others felt more like decorative or architectural features. Breakfast was delicious, but choice was limited, and evening dining was disappointing for the cost. The dining area also lacked atmosphere and felt more functional than special. The rooftop bar is attractive, but as it is open to non-residents it became very busy with people taking photos. Combined with outside guests using the bar and dining areas, it made the hotel feel less relaxing and less exclusive than expected. The mandatory locally collected charge appeared mainly to be a 7.5% service fee rather than a tax, and a 7.5% service charge was also added to food and drinks. We were happy to tip individual staff additionally where deserved, as they were a highlight, but the overall level of added charges felt excessive given the room rates and the number of non-residents using the facilities. Overall, El Fenn is photogenic, well located and staffed by lovely people, but for us the substance did not match the style or cost.

Beautiful hotel

Another fantastic stay at El Fenn. This property is beautiful, every corner you turn there’s another delight in store. The rooftop bar is buzzy and fun. Would be great if they served non alcoholic beer but otherwise a truly wonderful experience.

Staff were outstanding

Absolutely my new favorite hotel. The architecture and interiors of El Fenn are outstanding, and the service is amazing. We arranged airport pickup in advance, then escorted directly to the hotel which is convenient to all restaurants and sights within the Medina. We arrived early (like 7am) and as our rooms were not yet available, we enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop and after a tour of the property, were given a large suite to rest and freshen up. The staff was always available and were helpful to arrange a car service, hammam appointments, a tour guide, and answer all of our questions. Our room was comfortable and clean, and especially cozy with a small fire every evening before bed. The children had a smaller room, but it also had a fireplace, large bathroom, and the WiFi was excellent (teenagers). They have thought of all the little details at El Fenn that make a hotel experience exceptional.

El Fenn is just coming home in Marrakesh vibes. The staff is so friendly, you feel yourself as from the first moment home in a amazing atmosphere. Everything can be organized. The staff and especially Fawti from the breakfast team do everything to give you excellent service for your breakfast.

Everything was perfect. But what really left a bitter taste in my mouth is how inneficient, laziness, unwilling to help or simply incompetence call it what you want . But I left a small package at the hotel and was traveling to the rest of Morocco. I called the hotel to have them ship the package I left at there store . I was suprise to see that a hotel that level could not help me. They told me it was impossible , they had no way , no idea how to do such thing . I tried to convince them that there is no way that there is no local transporter . They told me no it doesn’t exist my only solution would be to drive back (I was already in fes) or to have a collect account with dhl. Well, even if I am not from Morocco and I don’t speak Arabic , it didn’t take me long to find a local compagny Ameex ( I am adding it her so try employee of el fenn can know for next client ) . Again there lack of initiative for such a top hotel was mind blowing.

This is among the most unique properties in the world. The service is second to none and whoever designed the hotel should win a gold medal somewhere. Everything about El Fenn was excellent and as advertised. I rarely give feedback from travels, choosing to write about a place that is very very bad or excellent. In between doesn’t much matter to me. El Fenn? Gets a ten!

Amazing property and staff!

Staying at El Fenn with my fiancée was an experience we’ll never forget. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a hidden world full of beauty, warmth, and charm. The design of the hotel is absolutely stunning. Every room, hallway, and courtyard feels like a piece of art. It’s easily one of the most beautifully designed places we’ve ever stayed. Our room was incredibly comfortable. Everything from the bed, always having a cold bottle of water, to the little details made it feel special and inviting. But what really made the stay unforgettable was the staff. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. We didn’t feel like guests. We felt like we were coming home. What touched us most were the random acts of kindness from the staff, little surprises like complimentary desserts, free drinks, and thoughtful gestures that made us feel truly cared for. It wasn’t just hospitality, it was soulful. Every part of the experience had a touch of magic. Whether we were relaxing on the rooftop, enjoying a quiet moment in the courtyard, or just wandering through the hotel, there was a constant feeling of peace and wonder. El Fenn is more than just a hotel. It is a feeling that stayed with us long after we left. We’re already talking about when we can go back. Truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

Extremely basic for the price. Noisy at night. Breakfast was served in broken chipped cups and plates. Tables sticky because they had not been cleaned. Rooftop service & food was limited.
