The new terminal opened on October 13, 2026. Current Metrolink and BurbankBus instructions describe the ground connections for that terminal.
The Ventura County Line serves Airport–South. Cross Empire Avenue to the RITC and use the complimentary airport shuttle to the new terminal.
Metrolink says no telephone request is needed. Board at the designated curb in the RITC's ground-floor bus area.
The Antelope Valley Line serves Airport–North. Reach the terminal by the Cohasset Street walk or a requested complimentary shuttle.
Call 818-729-2245. At the station, the designated meeting point is on San Fernando Boulevard at its north end.
Metrolink describes an approximately half-mile walk via Cohasset Street. A requested shuttle is the alternative for that connection.
It stops at the RITC. An airport shuttle connects the RITC with the new terminal; the Orange Route continues to North Hollywood's Metro B/G Line station.
Follow signs to the ground floor of the parking structure directly across from the new terminal. Use the RITC service for South or request the North shuttle for the Antelope Valley Line.
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) serves Burbank and the Los Angeles area from its new passenger terminal, opened on October 13, 2026. The change matters for ground transport: the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center, RITC, remains a bus and rail connection point, but the journey from there to the new terminal now includes an airport shuttle.
Burbank Airport–South is on the Ventura County Line. Burbank Airport–North is on the Antelope Valley Line. They are different stations with different approaches to the terminal, despite both having the airport name.
Metrolink's new-terminal instructions direct passengers to cross Empire Avenue from Airport–South to the RITC. Board the complimentary airport shuttle at the designated curb in its ground-floor bus area. This South connection does not require a telephone request.
Include both the crossing and shuttle in the trip from train to airline check-in. Older instructions describing a moving walkway to the passenger terminal relate to the previous terminal arrangement and do not describe this new connection.
From Airport–North, Metrolink describes a walk of approximately half a mile to the new terminal via Cohasset Street. Alternatively, request the complimentary shuttle by calling 818-729-2245; its station meeting point is on San Fernando Boulevard at the north end.
The walking option can suit someone travelling light. The requested vehicle may suit passengers with several bags or anyone who prefers to avoid that walk. Unlike the South/RITC service, this North shuttle needs the request before the passenger waits for it.
BurbankBus's Orange Route links the airport with North Hollywood's Metro B and G Line station. Its airport bus stop remains at the RITC, with an airport shuttle between that stop and the new passenger terminal.
This option suits a journey continuing through North Hollywood's Metro connections. It is a bus-and-shuttle journey from the terminal, so include both stages when comparing it with a car directly to the accommodation address.
For a train-bound journey from the airport, Metrolink directs passengers to the shuttle pickup area on the ground floor of the parking structure directly across from the new terminal. South passengers take the RITC shuttle and cross Empire Avenue to the station.
North passengers request their shuttle before going to that pickup area, or use the Cohasset Street walk.
