Crown Hotel Surry Hills

The room, staff and the meals were 10/10 will be forwarding on my review to my organisation for future stays :)

Great price, great location with tons of restaurants around, very quiet at night, great staff and breakfast was an added bonus. 10/10 will go there again.

Overall the hotel is older than it appears in the listing. There is no front desk to speak of. You have to find one of the bartenders on the first floor to check you in on the second floor. All the rooms are on the second floor. The people who worked there were nice. The carpet was dirty. There was piss stain on the bedspread where it touched the floor.

Location was great staff were nice

One thing the shower there was no where to put anything, Everything got wet evertime we took showers, We did kill one cockroach in the bathroom. The 1st night we received our complimentary cocktail we could get a martini then the next two nights we were told only beer or wine. Everyone was very nice and accommodating.

what an amazing pub, great and very friendly staff, drinks cheaper than most other places around, food was excellent. There is a breakfast room where you can make your own tea/coffee cereal. Free drink when booked accommodation and 10% off food. The place had a really good feel and vibe. Rooms were excellent. Great location plenty stores, restaurants around pub. Definitely highly recommend.

The property is half way between Newtown & Oxford St, perfect for an easy uber to nightlife. It is near 100 resturants, like Turkish Pizza (loved Erysies!) or polish (great food, but i forgot the name). The hotel offers a heap of brekfast stuff at no charge, so that was awesome. The bathroom looked recently renovated, too. I thought it was going to be noisy on Cleaveland st, but it wasn't (the double windows work well). We even found a park out the front - Crown st loading zone - 15min 6 am to 6p.m., 4 hour to 10 p.m. free to 6 a.m. I can recomend this place if you want something unpretentious and affordable in the heart of the city.

Great location in Surry Hills. Reasonable accommodation in the city at price point. Limited unmetered on street car parking options within area.

Stayed here for one night and it was really lovely. Welcoming staff and the room was clean and tidy!

The door to our bathroom couldn’t be opened or closed without getting stuck, we had to lift the door and use our bodies to push it. The shower drain was clogged and so the water would pool at the bottom and spill out of the shower. We had slept in late (only till 10) when the room cleaners came around and let themselves into the room without warning. There was zero parking so we had to risk getting a fine, luckily we didn’t. There was no mattress cover, just a sheet, the quilt was sandwiched by two sheets, no quilt cover. Other than that the place was quite nice as well as staff. Not worth the price though unfortunately.

Won’t be coming back, very disappointed…

This property is clean and seems recently renovated. Its also spacious compared to some other hotels. They have a basic breakfast and coffee tea milk available which is a bonus. I will stay again.

The Crown Hotel is a great place to stay. Walking distance to Moore Park/SCG/Accor stadium. The rooms are well appointed with mini fridge and comfy bed. The communal kitchen was a lovely addition, where you can make complimentary tea and coffee. Even though located on a busy road, the rooms are remarkable sound proof and we had no trouble sleeping. Would stay there again!

A good decent basic hotel for a work trip. Nice a quiet for sleeping.
