It was great if you are looking for a quiet night to stay before crossing with Searoad to Queenscliff (start of GOR trip from Mornington Peninsula). The hotel reception close at 6pm and after that you are on your own (no room service, no reception front desk, nothing). Close to Sorrento town center and the ferry terminal and about 30 mins drive from the beautiful Cape Shanck Peninsula lighthouse. So better bring own food for dinner and some amenities to standby at the hotel. Other than that beautiful serene location to be in.

The fridge in the room wasn't working and no one tried to fix the problem went the issue was raised. I couldn't have my drinks filled during my stay. Also, on the very last day, the fire alarm went off at 6am. There was no staff on site at the time but one staff arrived after everyone was outside of the building. When the fire brigade arrived they couldn't access the controls as the staff member that has just arrived didn't have the master key. I felt that it was a fire hazard oversight and felt unsafe to stay there.

Reception was amazing the staff member was happy, friendly, funny, and full of knowledge 10/10. Lift not working but it happens. The bar was small however had what you need and the bartender was awesome. Breakfast was very good but a bit pricey Room was great and comfortable, shower was hot and big enough. Would stay again

I got an email from hotels.commto advise my details had been compromised by Mercure Portsea in a scam/phishing incident, and have not been advised by Mercure. The bed was two king single together, and the bathroom was tiny - though we were given a room with a second bathroom which had disabled access (we didn’t need it). Not able to get room service/drinks etc after around 6pm
