Didn’t eat at the hotel

My room was fabulous and the services were exceptional.

Always a fabulous stay.

Room service repeatedly could not take my breakfast order because they were "delivering other orders", so not staffed appropriately on horse race weekend. Called and asked for water to be delivered at night, never came. Room mini-bar was not restocked for three days after we asked 4 separate times. How can we be billed appropriately as a result? One day we came back and the room had been cleaned except the entire bathroom. Used towels on the floor, no product replenished, etc. My face cream was opened (not be me) and left in a different room leading me to assume staff used it. To top it off, got takeout because room service couldn't serve us and went to the restaurant on floor 35 to ask for utensils. Was told to "bring them back" to the restaurant after I was done. Room and view were nice, service was very poor.

I cannot give enough stars to this hotel and the friendliness, courtesy, and helpfulness of every member of the staff. The room was excellent and had a wonderful view. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. Room was quiet. The food and service at the restaurant was top notch. The location is good for access to public transportation and walking the CBD. I can’t overstate how great the staff was which made our stay perfect.

There for a function, staff top rate

This certainly a 5 star hotel. Very old and dated. It doesnt have a nice vibe

Good amenities

Very central, short walk to NGV and Southbank, close to parks and Richmond. Friendly efficient staff.

I recently stayed at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel truly valued as a guest. The hotel itself is beautifully presented with elegant interiors and a luxurious atmosphere.

Having stayed at Sofitel hotels in a few countries this one is up there at the top we were upgraded to the 49th floor which rounded off the experience 100%. One minor negative is on both mornings the hot food at breakfast was on the cold side

The staff are wonderful at apologising Sorry doesn’t cut it when yr paying top dollar to stay there Rooms are not sound proof, plumbing needs fixing as leaking taps are also annoying at night when you’re trying to sleep

Great service, large room with great views over Melbourne, central location and within walking distance to Melbourne sights so good base to explore. Kunga on the front desk was especially helpful.

Great location and valet was easy. Staff excellent Very smooth stay.
