Royal Regency Palace Hotel

I had a terrible experience at RRPH. My two week stay began Sunday Dec 21, 2025. During my two week stay I went to the front desk to extend my stay one additional day. I spoke to the same staff member at the front desk on two separate occasions he assured me extending my stay one additional day would be no problem he quoted me the price of $55 or $75 dollars. Sunday January 4, 2026 I received a phone call from the front desk indicating I have over stayed my time at the hotel and there was no record of extending my stay an additional day. I was told the hotel is booked my room is needed and I must leave the room immediately. I requested to speak with the manager. I was told there was no manager on duty. I received no apology nor compensation. I look forward to hearing from Expedia and RRPH. I hope no other guest in the future experience what I did. Thank you

Unfortunately I didn’t make it to breakfast but ordered room service couple times and got an outside shop delivery to front desk staff where friendly and helpful even with language barrier

Dirty hotel, small rooms, guest smoking marijuana in the pool area, old gym, breakfest is a joke.

Our room had a cockroach issue for which we were moved to a different room. The second room had a leaking AC which made our suitcases wet and had a leaking bidet which dirtied our washroom floor. The front desk staff are very rude with the exception of one or two members. We had a missing outfit & personal towel that was taken by a housekeeper and the staff gave us runaround for three days until we finally put our foots down and they returned the items to us. Not sure how this hotel has 4 stars - we will never stay here again.

Same thing everyday I stayed there for ten days maybe two or three days would be ok

Plentiful breakfast but limited options outside of fruit for vegetarians and vegans

The staff was excellent

The room lacked amenities. I believe the room could have a coffee/tea percolator and a microwave. A basic requirement is that water is charged for when there is no notice that the client is being charged for water placed in the refrigerator.

Excellent customer service. Breakfast was abundant with lots of fresh fruit options. Room was cleaned daily was fresh bedding and towels. The area is vibrant and safe with a lot of food and shopping options. There is a mall just across the road.

Room was okay although the air conditioning unit that was leaking on the floor. I was moved rooms after asking. Other details in the room were a bit rough, sockets and lamps that don’t work and the bed was too big for the room it was in, leaving not a lot of space for luggage etc. Reception staff were okay, but not very warm or welcoming. Breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about. Location was not too bad, half way between airport and south zone. Overall average, and not really worth the price that is charged.

Very good cost benefit ratio.

O hotel precisa de manutenção, os colchões estão quebrados e em mau estado, as toalhas e toalhas de banho estão manchadas e gastas, os banheiros estão úmidos, eles pedem várias coisas na recepção e me mandam lá embaixo para buscá-las.

Horrible experiencia. El hotel estaba en una zona MUY FEA. Las condiciones del hotel son deplorables, camas chuecas, colchones viejos, ropa de cama manchada y desgastadas, paredes sucias, baños con moho, sucios. Me arrepiento de haberlo seleccionado. Te cobran el agua al final de la estancia, duré 3 noches solo fueron a limpieza una vez y fue despues de varias solicitudes.

Breakfast was outstanding. Staff was very friendly and helpful, though not many spoke English.

WiFi slow, room bed not comfortable, bathroom not clean

Super friendly staff! I stayed at the hotel for five days in the treatment was amazing from the reception, room services, and to the kitchen. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking to explore the Botago area and be near to traditional landmarks.

Friendly welcome! food was very good, missed tomatoes and cucumbers. Bed was comfortable. Very Limited help at the desk, except at the last day, everybody was very helpful like on the first day, when I arrived.

A great place to experience Brazilian culture , very close to all places that you want to visit x
