The staff was so friendly and helpful. They made me feel like family. Ishmail was the best, he helped me throughout the week for coordination of tourist destinations. He was so friendly, he even gave us some local Brunei food treats to take with us. He coordinated a water village tour with Sheffy and Soprie that was really fun. Ismail made us feel special. Also Amalina at the front desk was superb! Raymeen, Shidah, and Fatin at the front desk were excellent too. Ziman, the concierge was really helpful. Ari the housekeeper did a great job cleaning our room. Muiz at breakfast was very nice. I also enjoyed speaking Maui, who represents the Canada High Commission. We had a great experience!

Excellent staff. Our bellman Zihan made us feel at home from the moment our car pulled up to the hotel. He had great recommendations for tours including how much to negotiate for the water taxis, he helped us translate the language with our Dart driver, and he helped us secure transportation to the night market and back. Our check in staff was efficient and friendly. The breakfast was great! Breakfast had a good selection of both American and Asian style foods - loved the crusty bread they had available each morning. The breakfast staff was as all very sweet. The hotel is within walking distance of many sites and includes a shuttle to the Gadong night market. I definitely recommend staying here.

All of the staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and hospitality. As a first-time visitor to Brunei, I felt genuinely welcomed, and this stay has made me look forward to returning to explore even more next time. The team was consistently friendly and attentive, and the room was clean and comfortable, with a thoughtful eco-friendly water-saving program in place. The hotel’s convenient location also makes it a great choice for both leisure and solo travellers, especially if you’re not renting a car.

Nice hotel, a little worn but everything worked well. Staff were great. Main complaint is I asked for a quiet room, but all they would provide was one facing a busy street so traffic noise all the time and loud music from the festival across the street until 11:00pm.

First time to explore Bandar Seri Begawan a couple days in between some other trips like "nearby" Borneo. What we saw was spotless, clean, friendly with amazing mosques one can visit. (We booked a day tour which I recommend you find and do) Breakfast was really good, hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was spotless, quiet and modern. Can walk to a nearby mall/waterfront area, (we didn't mind the heat) but not a lot "happening" in Brunei (hence a day tour to learn more and get around). This hotel location very good for all of this. My personal complaint is how cold the rooms are and we seemingly could never get the AC to be a bit warmer, had to just shut it off until it got too humid. I don't do cold well, so I froze. Most people would probably like this. Have lived/traveled throughout Asia for years and find this typical of many large hotel rooms.

There was an insect under my duvet so I had to kill it and check the rest of the bed for bugs and found more dirt, hair and stains on the pillow case and under the bedsheets (on the mattress edge). There was also a dead insect on the bedside table and stains on the service menu. Also the advertised free shuttle service to malls was not available.

We had a brief overnight stay in Brunei. Got in relatively late (6pm) and left pretty early the next morning (8am), so it wasn't a long extended stay. The area around the hotel was a bit quiet, with not much to do at night, but it's a relatively easy walkable distance to the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, which takes about 15 minutes. Also, it is very close to the Royal Regalia Museum, in case you want to visit (we didn't have time...) In terms of the hotel, the decor is a little dated, with brown and orange colour schemes, but it was fully functional and served its purpose. It's not fancy 5-star, but reasonable for a 4-star. Check-in and check-out were quick and painless, and the friendly staff greeted us with smiles. We ended up getting the breakfast buffet, which had a nice assortment of food choices, including Western breakfasts as well as Malaysian and Bruneian options. A good variety of pastries and cheeses is also available. In terms of location, it's a drive from the airport (15 minutes), but it was pretty painless as it's mostly highways, same with our return to the airport the next morning. Overall, I can't complain about anything regarding the Radisson. We paid a reasonable price for the stay and thought it was good value for money. Just don't expect absolute luxury. If we return to Brunei for a stopover or a future visit, I'd stay at the Radisson again.
