Comfort Inn Mont Laurier

Had a terrible experience with the lady at the from desk today at the time I checked out. The comforter that my son had was clean but was very fragile due to being bleached/washed repeatedly and it tore from a side when he tried to go underneath. I informed this to the receptionist and she came to assess the situation and was being condescending and stating that it’s a damage caused by us when I showed how fragile is the cloth and that it’s also a very common sign of wearing off of any cloth material but she still denied and said the most absurd thing that “the other one is not like this and why it didn’t happened to that”. Obviously, that’s the whole point I was making and according to her, all clothes are in the same quality and age by default :). Then, I requested the housekeeping manager to assess this and a nice gentleman confirmed that I was right and explained the cause of it is exactly what I said. My point is, I was being logical and this person didn’t have any curtesy to even listen to and didn’t even consider anything I said. This is very poor customer care and I decided to never to stay at this place. Management should look into proper training of the staff and teach that majority of communication is non-verbal. Anyhow, I have often stayed with comfort inn around and this is my first similar experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Nice stay

Have stayed before in winter and had a better experience. This time the room was in poor condition, TV difficult to use (no English option - not the end of the world) window broken so could not be opened, and noisy aircon that was needed as the window was stuck shut. Bathroom sink cracked and just generally poor condition. But it served a purpose - plenty of parking and easy ATV trail access!

Not worth the money!! It’s a run down property, dirty bathroom, light fixtures falling down in the room, barely any amenities at all. Unless you’re a big fan of “La Cage”, you can find better around.

N’accommode pas les travailleurs de la santé j’ai Check in à 1h am puisque je travail soir et il m’ont mis dehors de manière cavalière par la réceptionniste à midi …en me narguant … malgré le fait que j’étais prête à payer pour un late check out … chambre 118 à côté d’une grosse porte en métal que a commencer à s’ouvrir et se fermer à 6h am …

Lors de visites précédentes la chambre était plus grande et agréable.

the rate I paid seemed very high for a Comfort inn and when I arrived i figured out why. They were fully booked with 100's of Snowmobile Riders. The problem was they were parking thier Ski Doos, Trucks and Trailers ANYWHERE in the parking and when I arrived it wasn't even possible to unload our luggage at the front door because the entrance and the parking lot were a disaster. I had to park at the shopping mall accross the street at the risk of being towed for illigal parking. I raised this point at the front desk and and they just said the guy who was supposed to manage the parking situation didn't show up for work. Very frustrating and not professional. I will never stay there again.

Attempted to make change to original booking. What a nightmare. Will never book through Expedia again. Book directly with hotel and save yourself the hassle.

Too expensive for what it’s worth. Older hotel rooms. Furthermore hotel double charged room because clerk wanted a print of credit card. Not impressed.

Lots of snowmobile and smell gas in my room

I like that they have a system to protect the snowmobiles outside and that La Cage is right there, but no one came to clean are room or refill toilet paper or towels in 4 days. I had over 10 cards programmed because my card and my buddy’s card kept deactivating for the room.
