Beautiful property and easy to find location. Room was spacious and bright with all the mod cons you’d need for a quick stay.
Check in/out is done remotely, but instructions provided were very clearly and easy to follow. I will note that when I reached out with a question I got replies back promptly (within mins) which made it a really great experience.
Area around the hotel is quaint with lots of easy walks along tree lined streets, a few blocks away from the marina (which is great when travelling with a dog). There are some small restaurants close by, but the hotel has one attached that has great food.
There’s also convenient (limited) street parking but also underground parking with easy access to the hotel.

Everything was great. My biggest complaint was that there were no ice trays! It is a great place with a great location. I had everything I needed. I reported an issue with the patio door and staff responded within minutes. It did not affect my stay at all.

The amenities are very good. Clean and roomy rooms. There should be better communication between Expedia and the British Hotel as its more complicated to get info than it should be. My key out of the lockbox did not have the room number on it. I would suggest a clearer message with room number, lock ox number and code all together in the check-in message.

Beautiful space, no heating appliances, just a toaster oven.
Do be prepared for minimal privacy using the shower/tub.
Some noise from downstairs pub, especially on Friday nights.

There were no on-site staff, though there were cleaning people. I only got check-ininstructions a few hours before I arrived so if someone from the unconnected Business in the same building weren’t there, which was a bar, to help me with Wi-Fi I might not have been able to get my instructions easily. The place was beautiful very clean. However, the bar had some not very good music in the evening until about 10 o’clock, and also the voices coming from that restaurant bar were clearly audible from my room. Sunday night it was not a problem but Monday night I was glad I only had the one more night to stay. They gave me earplugs with my amenities,which I didn’t understand until later monday evening.

Bright and modern well equipped 1 bedroom apartment on the main street of Old Aylmer was perfect for a short, or extended, stay. Very clean and comfortable within walking distance to lots of restaurants. Appreciated the a/c as we were there during a heat wave. Would recommend and hope to return.

Our stay was excellent! The space was as promised and very comfortable for a family of 5. We love the Public House that was on site and the beautiful neighbourhood! It was a wonderful overnight stay!

I enjoyed my stay at the British Hotel. Upon arriving, my washroom wasn't the cleanest. Urine was stained on the toilet seat and a clear plastic wrapper was left behind the toilet. I had lysol wipes with me and cleaned the toilet seat myself. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet. I got used to it after a few days. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The room could use an extra garbage can. There was only a recycling container in the room and a small garbage in the washroom. The elevator worked well and was fast. Free street parking or paid underground parking was available for $24/day. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Beautiful property, conveniently located, clean rooms and property. The restaurant, cafe and outdoor patio were great. easy check in with lock box. Note the shower glass and open in room, there’s a water closet for the toilet only. This is a renovated older building so the walls are not well sound Proofed. There’s a bar downstairs Friday and Saturday that goes until the early hours of the morning depending on what suites you are in the noise from the patrons outside and music could disturb your sleep.

When they say that the noise from the bar could carry to the room, they aren't kidding ... stayed on a night when a live band was playing ... so head the warning if you are a light sleeper or have difficulty falling asleep
