Very easy to get and return keys. I had a hard time at first getting back to parking garage to get something out of the car, but the service number (Chelsea) responded very quickly and was very helpful. Only talked via text but the staff was very pleasant and patient. Loved the location. Will stay there again next time I need to stay in Alymer

Facility is pet friendly, has a dog wash station at the ground floor. Apartment is very clean and nice!

Very spacious and clean

I booked The British Hotel through Hotels.com, which advertised it as a hotel. In reality, it operates more like an Airbnb-style rental, with no front desk, no on-site staff, and very limited amenities. The entrance is confusing and initially led me to the bar in the same building. Parking instructions were unclear (left vs. right, spaces “1–16”), requiring multiple calls to the owner for clarification. The route from parking to the room is long and maze-like, with only short stairs — no elevator — making it very difficult to carry luggage, especially in winter. The room is spacious but bare. There are no standard hotel amenities, towels are limited, and bedding was dirty with hairs and stains. Although listed as non-smoking, strong cigarette and weed smells came from neighbouring rooms. Noise from the bar was minimal during weekdays, but on one night, music and floor vibrations lasted about an hour. The most frustrating issue was the parking exit system. The card reader and payment machine did not work properly, there was no intercom, and I had to go back and forth for 15 minutes, which almost caused me to miss a meeting. Other guests experienced the same issue. Overall, the stay requires a lot of preparation and patience. It’s fine for those traveling light and expecting a self-managed rental experience, but not convenient for travellers seeking typical hotel services.

Quiet and clean…

Excellent little boutique hotel! Room was spacious and very clean. Staff at the bar down below were so friendly and welcoming! A the little coffee shop next door! Cute area to explore would love to come here in the summer

Impossible to sleep. Its not a hotel, its a club. Walls and floor shaking with ultra loud music. I do not recommend.

Superbe

The bathroom smelled terrible like sewers, carpet had a moldy stench and the shower..let's just say the photos did not make it seem like my coworker could watch me shower! The parking lot machines were not working in the morning and delayed our commute by 15 minutes. There was a party above our room until 11

Room is clean, well located. Great Restaurant attaches to the building-great menu.

Wonderful and unique place.

The suite itself was absolutely beautiful! The building it is in, and the confusing and very long maze to find your room was not good at all. Definitely, not a safe feeling for a woman walking alone! Otherwise, the room itself was lovely... huge, with thee most gorgeous bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel room! The soaker tub was so nice!!

The restaurant or bar? Underneath was blasting music so loud it shook my bed and I couldn't sleep. Don't book here if you like to sleep before 2 am

The room

La chambre était très propre et spacieuse

What a lovely hotel! Great neighbourhood. Easy check-in. My room was beautiful and very comfortable. There’s a cafe & restaurant attached to the building, as well as underground parking. It was all very convenient on a cold winter day. Because it’s an older building my room was not very sound proof. The room is right over the event space & main road, so there was lots of hustle and bustle. Other rooms may be quieter. I personally didn’t find the noise disruptive, but something to keep in mind for people with children, or those who are sensitive to sound. I would absolutely book the exact same room again though! Loved my stay!
