We recently stayed at Tivoli Hotel and, given the high nightly rate, expected a much better experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and well maintained. Our room was nice, and the front desk staff we spoke with in person were polite and friendly. Unfortunately, several issues made our stay disappointing. We did not receive the spacious family room we had booked. Instead, we were told we had been "upgraded," but our teenage son lost the sofa bed included with the family room and was given a folding cot instead. The cot wasn't even set up when we checked in, so we had to request someone come later that evening to prepare it. Our room also wasn't ready at the advertised 3:00 p.m. check-in. Before booking, I specifically confirmed that we would have air conditioning and was told yes with an adjustable temperature control. Instead, the thermostat was locked at 23°C, making the room uncomfortably warm at night. We reported it, and although someone was supposed to investigate, no one ever came. The in-room phone also wouldn't connect properly to room service, and our calls to the front desk went unanswered. While the hotel is attractive and the staff were courteous, these issues and the lack of follow-through were disappointing. For the price we paid, we expected a much better experience.

The hotel is worn and in need of a thorough renovation and upgrade. The air conditioning and ventilation system is very noisy and has little to no effect. The lounge area also requires modernization and refurbishment.

We stayed at the Tivoli for four nights. Good choice of food at breakfast although it all seemed a little disorganised. Some of the staff went the extra mile and some just went through the motions. Ideally placed for the train and bus stations.

Very large hotel with a lot of guests. Double room was small but adequately equipped and comfortable. Hotel has a policy of not undertaking housekeeping unless specifically requested via the QR codes in the room but that was ok. Breakfast area was large and the range of food extensive but often large queues on entry. Was advised at reception to book online a time slot but still had to queue with all other residents to get to the desk to advise you had booked- would be better with a separate reception for those who booked as pointless otherwise. Visited the pool once but was small and very overcrowded with children playing in the deeper area where swimming could be undertaken - again would be beneficial to designate that area for those wishing to swim. Location was ok about 15 mins walk from the station and further into the centre. Unfortunately my iPad which I use for reading during downtime would not connect to the hotel wi-fi and this was not resolved during my stay despite contacting the hotel reception regarding this - it was an issue with their network as worked fine before and after at other hotels. Cannot comment on food and drinks in the bar or restaurant as the expensive prices dissuaded from trying. Also disappointing that no bottled water provided in the room and all items that were there incurred a cost, again at hefty prices even for basic snacks such as crisps. Overall a pleasant enough stay but a few niggles which tainted the visit somewhat.

Well located and reasonable hotel. Has a secret garden walk on the 2nd floor which take you back to the main road with the train station and Tivoli gardens on. Pool was great but did close early one day we tried to use it. Had a very family friendly feel. Nice and comfortable rooms

Great buffet breakfast and room is spacious. It’s a good 15-20 minute walk to Tivoli garden where all the restaurants and shops are located. There is a mall with food hall which is 10 min away. Overall, a good stay and the indoor pool is a plus. Great for traveling with young children.

A bit further away from our points of interest than expected. Didn’t deliver the baby crib or made up the extra bed in 6.5 hours - but when we called they sorted it immediately. No total black out curtains was a minus. Apart from that, a good choice for families.

The entire hotel, from reception to the room, represented the “hygge” vibe of Copenhagen. The children play area/ game room was perfect to pass time as we waited for check-in and catered to children and teens. The pool and sauna were calm and relaxing. Just as beautiful as pictured on the website. The Sushi restaurant on the rooftop allowed for a beautiful view. The food, delicious. Breakfast had many options and fresh food. The staff was always kind, helpful, and friendly. The hotel itself is located within walking distance of train station, Tivoli Gardens, and Harbour Bay for a quick cold plunge. Our family of four, 9 and 17 year old included, absolutely loved our stay and want to return!
