The location of the property was excellent, close to shopping, food, sites, bus and train station and entertainment. Enjoyed my time at Tivoli. I would stay here again.

We stayed over the Easter weekend and they had organised extra activities for the children which was a great touch. We loved using the pool and sauna after our day out exploring the city. We had a large family room which was two rooms interconnected and that worked very well for us, the rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The hotel is a short walk from the trains and buses to get around the various parts of the city, or even a train across to Sweden. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby bar, brasserie bar, and in the sky bar on the top floor which had some nice views. We decided to eat all meals outside of the hotel, and found it easy to find some good cafes for breakfast, and food markets for lunch or dinner.

This is not a good hotel for tourists. It’s a convention center, and it lacks the personal service that you would expect from a good hotel. Room clean is “on request”. I think that’s not good for any hotel, except here nobody told this at check-in either and it was not made clear in the room also. That’s just ridiculous. I had to accidentally read this on a poster in the elevator on day of checkout. So no clean towels on day two. Breakfast was insane! Had to wait in line for 20 min. And the offering was average at best. Location is bad because public transport is not near. The shower went from cold to burning hot continuously and was barely useable. I don’t like to complain and it was mainly my own fault for booking this. I will not be back here again.

Reception was nice and clean and staff were welcoming. I didn’t get the 20% voucher on check in so had to chase that the following day. The room was okay, but the rug didn’t look like it was very clean. Breakfast is served on the second floor but when we stayed (over Easter weekend) there were a lot of families with children so very busy. I booked this hotel as it mentioned catering for coeliacs but there were very limited options. The hot section had mixed beans and some small breaded tater tots which is limited for hot breakfast. The room doesn’t come with complimentary water which is not great for those who travelled from further away. All in all, I’d say this is an average three star hotel in a quiet area.
