Great Western Hotel

Very close to the town centre and next to great western beach!

Defo in need of refurb. But nice location

I spent 3 nights for work, the location is amazing, the hotel is old but in a good condition and clean The staff were terrible, the lady who did the check in was not bad, but others were not friendly at all when I go in or out saying hi they either do not answer back or just a cold hi in return The lady who did the check out was very bad ,I came and said : good morning I want to check out,, she didn’t look at my face, didn’t say good morning, jut : room number? Said:103 , she( didn’t look at me at all): ok , I was expecting: thank you, I hope you had a good time with us !!!! but no, nothing at al.

Had a newly refurbished room and took my dog. Very easy check in. We booked ahead for parking so parked right outside the hotel. Lovely goody bag for dog with toy and treats. Room adequate size. Shower a bit small and only one bath towel for 2 people!! But soon rectified. Lovely complimentary toiletries and tea tray with fresh water provided. All in all a good stay. Lovely views of beach

Staff were very helpful, especially when my husband had a fall in the room. the manager came to the room and stayed until ambulance was called. The first room booked was a standard room via Hotels.com. Upon arrival, found room was unacceptable...very small room with standard double bed, view of building next door. Negotiated better room after paying more.

Sea view from the restaurant is very welcome and the food and drink are reasonable for the price.

Wonderful staff very very tired hotel.

Room 220 in serious need of a lick of paint, stains on carpet. Designer toiletries - this was a hand wash at the sink and a body wash for the shower.. No shampoo or conditioner.

Lovely location. Bar/restaurant had amazing views. Close to town. Decent food. Great value for money.

Property is in need of renovation (parts currently underway) but still a very enjoyable stay. Fantastic location with excellent views from dining rooms and bar overlooking the ocean. Staff are excellent and do all they can to assist.

Nice clean room kept clean by room cleaners, complimentary biscuits and drink making things were topped every day, very friendly staff and a fantastic bar and resturaunt

The room was clean and the bed comfy. We had a side view of the sea and it was lovely to hear the waves overnight. Breakfast lovely as always.
