Loved the room (#6). Very comfortable. Staff lovely. But promo photo doesn’t represent truly the access to its frontage which is via a dark jigger from the main high street. It’s also tricky to find the entry point off the main road - but you get there in the end!

Whilst the location is excellent being right in the city centre, this hotel has seen better days and is need of a good clean and refurbishment.

Lovely, quirky hotel. Staff are lovely. We stayed in a basement room, it was clean and had all the amenities you need. Bed was too hard for me personally. And was noisy from people above. Not the hotels fault. Perfect location, close to everything and 5 mins walk from rail station. Would stat again.

Great for shops and right in the centre. No parking but can park close by or get a taxi from station and a short walk as I its pedestrianised through the daytime. Close to pubs and eateries. The entrance can easily be missed as it’s a little archway into the courtyard. Clean enough and has everything we wanted for a one night stay. No food in this hotel but it’s surrounded by places to go

Nice old hotel in city centre, in an area filled with shops, pubs, and restaurants. Near the Minster and the wall, and other interesting sites. Tricky to find the hotel, because you have to go through a short "tunnel" from the main street to get to the Court. Staff members were friendly. There is no restaurant, and hence no breakfast (as clearly advertised). However, there are plenty of places nearby for breakfast and other meals. The area was a bit noisy, especially in the morning.

Great little hotel in the heart of York. Very close to the shops and only 5 minutes from the theatre. Staff very friendly. There is no lift and the stairs are fairly steep maybe a problem for those with mobility problems but it has bags of character and charm

As a small, tucked away hotel in the midst of the city, Judges Hotel fit what we wanted n visiting York. History was literally written on the walls. It is tiny and the stairwell is somewhat difficult to navigate wit our travel bags, but the experience was worth it. Situated just blocks from everything, we enjoyed our stay.

Great little hotel situated in the center of things. Small room #5 but very clean and tidy. Great shower, quiet, fantastic staff. Recommend if you want to be in city centre. Taxi from railroad station is best with easy walk if Coney St. closed after 1030am.
