Great hotel. Perfect location. Excellent bar. Room was too small, however

Being able to check into our room early really got our stay off to a great start as we were arriving after a long flight. The staff were very kind, friendly and anxious to help in any way. The fluffiness of the towels was another level and everything about the hotel spoke of quality and attention to detail.

In spite of paying well over £350 a night there was no free breakfast ! Hotel is beautiful but our room was tiny and underwhelming. Great location and friendly staff .

It’s an extremely elegant hotel run by elegant professionals working hard to make your stay as perfect as possible.

Every staff member (except for one bar person who perhaps was having a bad day) was fantastic. Really friendly, engaging and interested in the guests. They clearly wanted guests to enjoy their experience while in the hotel. Our room was perfect, beautifully decorated and very relaxing after a day out. We couldn't have had a better time. The only niggle was with working out the final bill at checkout. The itemisation was unclear and we had been charged for items we hadn't ordered (or told were comped). This was dealt with without issue at reception but shouldn't have been necessary. I'd recommend, if you charge drinks/ food to your room, to ask for a full printout for each day. Otherwise you're just presented with a total and expected to guess if it's correct. My suggestion to management would be to improve this step to ease the checkout process. I would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely hotel we chea

Wonderful hotel full of elegance and character. Absolutely superb room, really clean and well appointed. Very helpful staff.

Marco at the concierge desk was so helpful helping me figure out how to swim at the Olympic pool. The doormen were great, hailing us cabs in the rain. The concierge desk also recommended a place for my daughter to get a haircut. We spent some time in front of the fire in the lobby as well...such a cozy spot!

Hotel was beautiful 125 year old renovated. Staff was excellent !!

My wife and I very much like this hotel. The staff and helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful both inside and out. The rooms range from simple to suites and we enjoyed a suite overlooking Russell Square Park. I stay here for the short tube trip to the Emirates and my wife for the shopping! It's a win win. The beds are comfortable and the linen top drawer. The bar has a great vibe and excellent Irish coffees..! Small niggle; larger towels and robes - for men - would be greatly appreciated. We are not all snakey-hipped, Jim Morrison types as some of us are more Jonah Lomu (RIP).

Lovely hotel overall but the beautiful indoor style garden area where you used to be able to have tea is now only available for private functions so you’re redirected to the bar for a tea. The bar is pleasant but very different. The bedroom was small also. Overall lovely staff and very well situated hotel but will be stopping staying there as price is no longer justified vs other beautiful hotels.
