Great hotel located perfectly in the middle of the northern quarter, friendly and helpful reception staff. We stayed mid week and it was lovely, not too busy, but people around to socialise with in the shared kitchen or at the quiz night. We will be back, thank you :)

Some of the comfiest hostel beds I've stayed in. Great location and good 20% deal with Wilson's downstairs. Staff were all awesome as well.

This location was in the thick of everything. Within close walking distance to shopping, bars, restaurants. There is a lot of people and live music Friday - Sat - so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep early. My room was everything I needed - bed was nice - bathroom was nice. Bring an extra bag for garbage if you plan on staying more than 4 nights.

I arrived at 6:30 pm on a Saturday only to learn this place is in the middle of a five block area of PARTY CENTRAL! Music was blaring from the bars, drunks were singing and screaming. I checked out right away, forfeited the two night cost and found a much quieter hotel!

Everything was just fine for a night or two. I had full-day plans and just needed a bed. For that, it served its purpose. The kitchen lacks mugs and cutlery. I saw. A mouse scuttle across my dorm room in the morning. Location was great for my trip to Manchester. Staff were nice at the desk.

Nice clean room and staff, great for what we needed it for. My only complaint is that my room was right above the pub next door and as it was open until 3:00 am in the morning, the loud music was pulsing straight through our floor so didn’t get to sleep until late.

Unfortunately, the bed was covered in hair, which made me worry that the sheets are not changed often enough. The bathroom was clean overall, although my roommate sometimes left urine on the toilet seat. The room was quite noisy, and at times the whole hostel seemed to shake. There was constant noise both from the fan and from the bar downstairs. While this is understandable given the lively area, it might be a good idea for the hostel to provide earplugs for guests. On a positive note, the location is very central and convenient.

This place has a lot going for it. Good location (in one sense), clean, good layout, good staff, bars and cafés nearby. However if someone needed to sleep or have a quiet nap, this is NOT the place. It was extremely noisy until well into the morning. Also room I was in (208) was like a sauna meaning windows needed to be opened. Maybe there are rooms at the rear or side that wouldn’t have these issues. I was up at 8am to catch an early train and barely got any sleep. So despite it being a great place in many ways I wouldn’t stay there again unless I got a quieter room with air con.

Quite possibly the worst place I have ever stayed in. Upon arrival I was told that the room was noisy because of theusoc from the bar next door (none of this was communicated in the advert for the room or at any point before check-in). I asked when would the music stop and I was told "around midnight". Either the person working on the front desk was new (very doubtful) or this was an outright lie (it was). The music carried on till 3am and it was impossible to fall asleep while it was going on. The management will probably reply with some excuse that because of the central location there is noise from the nightlife.. it's a lie. The bar is right below the room so the whole room is shaking from the bass and the drums, the bed is shaking and you can feel it through your entire body. Avoid this place at all costs, they're filthy liars and scam artists. Again do not give it these scammers your money, find another place to stay at.

This is ideal to bed down after a night out in Manchester. The sounds of music from outside stop at about 4am. So if you want to sleep before then I suggest ear plugs. There are no amenities in the room like a kettle or tv just bed sink shower and toilet. The sink is in the sleeping area. I've slept in worse places when I was backpacking in the 80's. The breakfast in the morning is next door in a bar. Egg on toast, yoghurt with banana slices & blueberries and a croissant with jam. Hot drink and juice. Won't stay there again as I'm too old and need home comforts. Reminded me of a youth hostel. It will be fine for many.
