Design, layout and size of the premier double room was nice. Good temperature and lighting. Rooms are not soundproof and doors do not have soft close so it was noisy throughout the night. Staff were friendly. Restaurants were not open on the evening of my arrival.

Room wasn't cleaned whilst there (we stayed for 2 nights) and room was already dusty when we arrived. Also, I asked in advance if hotel staff could help make the stay special/ help to decorate the room for my partner's 30th Birthday. They agreed to this prior to arriving however no effort was made to support me with this.

Location was good within walking distance of the centre, view from room was good but unfortunately the room was absolutely freezing as the heating didn't work. We spoke to reception who said that they would send someone up but nobody arrived so my husband went back down to reception and a manager came back with him who also couldn't get the heating to work. The solution was a plug in electric heater which made very little difference. A bad night's sleep as we were still freezing and just couldn't get warm

As someone who comes to Liverpool frequently for work/leisure, I have stayed in a fair number of different hotels in the £40-100 range across the city, and have to say that this was one of the more unpleasant. Low ceilings, bad lighting, artificial smell, broken shower head, view of a office, iffy heating unit, over-used feeling. Thankfully an overall quiet night after 10pm which was the main plus for me, and products that claim to be eco. However, it could do a breath of fresh air (without chemical air freshener) and some friendlier/more flexible staff/management attitudes. I will probably avoid here and other Sunday hotel-chain places for a while though.

No. The bar was not well stocked. Several of the draught beers were unavailable. Breakfast was average, but to be fair that may have had more to do with the fact that we were quite late getting to it, although the options were not great.
