The staff were fantastic and so friendly and helpful. Food was just fabulous and room perfect for us. We will be back!

I stayed for business not pleasure. I would book here again, the hotel is centrally located to where I regularly need to be. Room was basic but spotless. I’m pretty sure it was a brand divan bed and I slept decently. Food in the restaurant was tasty and I left full.

Very clean room, slightly outdated. Staff very friendly. Breakfast and evening meals were very good.

When we arrived the evening staff were great, friendly and efficient. Our evening meal was good British menu well cooked and presented. Our room was clean, not the most comfortable beds, but the real problem was lack of sleep. We were on the ground floor and there was no sound proofing, the person/people in room above were walking or moving stuff around until midnight and started again just after 4am. Their floorboards were creaking so loudly that after not being able to sleep until late, we were woken again in the early hours!! It seems t e hotel is used by travelling workers? In the morning I was going to have a polite word at check out but the elderly man and two women were in conversation and just handed us a copy of our receipt without asking if we’d had a good stay so we left. I really don’t know how this hotel gets 10/10 reviews???

Parking not brilliant, rooms are dated but clean. Needs a few quid spending on it.

Staff excellent, friendly and professional, food and drink extremely good, wonderful view out the back. Only slight problem was the carpet in the room, very thin and worn, but overall would thoroughly recommend this hotel 👍

Good night's stay, staff excellent, food very good, bedroom clean and tidy.however toilet seat wasn't cleaned properly. Albeit an old building perhaps a freshen up is needed.

A lovely hotel that is friendly, welcoming, inviting and clean. The bedroom and facilities were spacious and relaxing. We enjoyed delicious food and excellent service. The views are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful

Really lovely hotel in beautiful scenery. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the restaurant is great, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It was just a stop on the way somewhere else for us but we both wished we had another night. I would definitely stay here again.

The welcome was somewhat confusing, after waiting a while we were greeted by a man "what are you here for" ... strange thing to say when you turn up to a hotel. so basically not the friendly response you would imagine. the hotel was old and a little run down, some areas have started to be renovated. My room was unfort The food was amazing and definitely the highlight of the stay.

Dated, but with enough charm to make this aspect fade into insignificance. Great area too - plenty of on-site parking, peaceful, and with fantastic views from the dining area.
