The website states that certain dishes on the menu are available 24/7, they’re not. I was refused any type of evening meal at 7pm as the kitchen was too busy with a coach party to provide me with a dish of pasta to take to my room. This is not good customer service and that information regarding the menu should be removed, it is very misleading. On the plus side the gardens, pool and location are excellent.

On a plus side the grounds and swimming pool were excellent as was the helpfulness of the staff. The breakfast was good but the coffee out of the machine was not very hot. The room looked tired and in need of an update. I know it's an older building but maintenance is needed on the window . It would not shut properly and with strong winds the night we stayed we tried filling the gap with a towel but even doing this with the blind pulled down the blind was blowing backwards and forwards . The noise this caused along with the creaking of the floor in the corridor outside our room we had a disturbed sleep

The rating of 2 stars for staff is only referring to the the 2 staff working in the breakfast hall. They were unhelpful, miserable, and made you just feel like an inconvenience. Customer was poor and there was no friendliness or effort to make the experience enjoyable. All other staff we met, from reception to the bar were fantastic.

The WiFi was not working from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Staff said that as it was the weekend they were chasing their IT support person to come to the hotel but he refused as he was several hours drive away. Shocking, they should sack him. Don't come to this hotel if you don't like dogs because they're everywhere to be seen & as you know dogs are smelly, annoying to look at or be around and generally pointless in every possible way.

Really nice hotel in a great location and good value for money. Walk through the gardens straight to the beach. Front of house staff were very attentive. Room was comfortable with a great view out to sea. Breakfast was standard buffet style with plenty of choice. Bar wasn't brilliant with limited selection and service was poor including in the restaurant. But it's a stones throw from many many nice bars and restaurants in the town. Was a great stay though and would definitely return

Plenty of free parking spaces.. Friendly staff . We arrived too early to check in but were given directions through the wonderful grounds down to the beach and the code to the gates out. From there it's a short walk to the town shops. On check in we were able to book dinner. The menu was good and the food well cooked. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and was a buffet with plenty of choice, hot and well cooked. One small thing, the hotel doesn't take cash which it would have been nice to know earlier as we had already withdrawn cash for shopping and had budgeted the meal in. We will stay there again if we return to Teignmouth though.
