The Selwyn Hotel

Very pleasant venue. Happy with our room. Hoped for twin bed but none available - our double had excellent mattress which left other guest (my sister :)) undisturbed as i moved. Quality breakfast. Some noise (bins?) in night but i wear earplugs

The hotel was beautiful and wonderfully convenient. We had some grumbles about the room we were initially allocated but the staff were patient and receptive to our concerns and quickly provided us a new room with zero challenge. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else for our next visit to Richmond.

The Selwyn is a very well specced hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are finished and equipped to a high standard. Just be aware the small rooms are just that, quite small. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

Great space, lovely neighborhood.

This was such a lovely place to stay with easily walkable access to shopping and dinner. It was beautifully appointed and the staff were lovely.

Really disappointed the hotel is at a junction of the main road of loads of cars

Great hotel in Richmond near the pub from Ted Lasso. They were cute rooms with air conditioning. Very close to the train station which made it easy to get where we needed to for our tours of London. I would recommend staying there and would return. Cute hotel with character with very pleasant staff.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. While our room was lovely, it was very small. There are no amenities - not a cotton ball, q-tip, shower cap, robe, slippers or luggage rack. When we asked to check in early, we were told that it may be available, at 12 but we would be charged 10 pounds an hour. This is the first time we have ever heard of this. When we returned at 2:30 the room was still not ready and we entered at a few minutes before 3:00. As a visitor from the States and with one small bathroom to freshen up, it is a bit challenging to arrive at 10 and have all that time. The staff was efficient but not overly friendly or helpful when we arrived. The following day they were more warm. The breakfast staff and the late night Saturday reception were lovely and helpful. The hotel has great style but could use more attention to detail and substance.

Overall a very nice place with a good breakfast, first impressions were great however there was dirty mugs and dust all over our room

Very nice hotel in Richmond...close to train station and the main street in Richmond with many shops and restaurants. The hotel was nice enough to hold our bags since we arrived early but charges $10 euros an hour to check in before 3pm when the room is ready so we just sat in the lobby until 3pm. Rooms are TINY! The cabin literally has no room for more than one open suitcase. Our 2nd room was slightly bigger but again no room to leave suitcases open. The bathrooms are updated but tiny. A/C was great since it was very warm when we were there.

Great location for exploring Richmond and retracing Ted Lasso’s footsteps! Cute hotel with very comfortable accommodations, and the warm and friendly staff made us feel welcome. Lovely part of London and well worth a visit!

As other reviews have mentioned, the rooms are tiny. But the location and quality of the hotel make it worth the cramped conditions, at least for a night! I don't think I could spend a week here, but just a night was exactly what we needed in the location we wanted.

Beautiful reception area , friendly staff and delicious breakfast. The hotel was very clean ,rooms nicely decorated and cozy. Nice bathroom.

Friendly staff. A central location that is easily walkable from the train/tube station. Our room was clean, modern and quiet.
