The White Hart Arkells Pub Group

The room was fine, a bit dated but ok. The pub had a band on and it was so loud, went on until 1pm then all the punters were standing in the street shouting. We didn't have many hours of sleep at all and had a grumpy child the next day. Would not stay there again

This hotel is full of history and the staff are fabulous. Some of the rooms are a little tired and traffic noise can be a problem but the location is wonderful for Bombay Sapphire and The Silk Mill. It is undergoing a programme of redecoration. There is a small amount of parking but if you get there early you can bag a space, alternatively, there is free parking next to The Silk Mill a few minutes walk away.

Lovely cosy room, busy pub with late night live music

We had a wonderful stay . It was warm and comfortable and I loved the decor it was within keeping for an old style pub. The bath for me was a real treat as we only have showers at home . The menu is great and the breakfast was enough. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We will be opting to stay again next year.

Bar had some great ales and lagers...good friendly atmosphere....I paid for the larger room and if you want abit more space it is worth the upgrade...bar food is really good 👍

The room was lovely, clean tidy, good facilities and large bathroom, would highly recommend the room however although i was aware of parking was minimal, we had no where to park and im the dark and not knowing of the area was quite stressful. My daughter went to ask and was ignored so i had to run in to ask where we can park, to struggle to find anyone and then just be just given a shrug and zero help. I just thought a better approach is guidence or to get somone knowing of the area to advise or inform on site that road parking is also difficult too. Sadly her response did put a downer on the day and although we planned to eat and drink in the pub also we didnt fancy having this service there too.

Great location and free parking

Room was small,but very clean and warm.Tea and coffee provided. Stayed for one night before going to the ferry port. Breakfast was not included the price but was well worth paying for in the morning. Would definitely use it again.

The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We were not expecting blaring music until almost 1.30am. Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off at 5.30, so we had very little sleep. The water was lovely and hot, making for a dreamy bath, but the wallpaper was ripped and drab and the carpet freyed by the front door. The breakfast was tasty and the coffee delicious.

very welcoming staff, great breakfast, woken around 8am due to a beer delivery banging/clanging of barrels, room was small but clean & tidy.

Staff friendly and helpful, room was clean and had everything we needed for 1 night stay. Had dinner in the pub, service was friendly and quick. Food was pub food and was hot.

Shabby room. Poor decor. Decrepit furniture.Black mould. The room was not fit for habitation.

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, but there were several areas which I feel could be improved: The hotel was undergoing extensive exterior work which blocked the road leading to the car park - no notification of this and no directions on getting to the car park. Luckily there is plenty of free car parking elsewhere in the town. We arrived on a Sunday but were told they weren't serving food. We were directed to various take-aways and were offered plates and cutlery on our return. Monday's meal was good, although there was more fat on my souvlaki than pork, but the rest of it was delicious. The churros for dessert were superb. The bed in our room was very comfortable - I had over 9 hours sleep the first night! However, the wallpaper was peeling and the shower room was quite dirty. Also, the toilet had an attached macerator which gave off an extremely unpleasant smell whilst in use. That being said, once the renovations are completed, I'd go back for another stay.

A great straight forward room that was clean and a good size. Maybe they could serve breakfast from 7am or 8am, but other than that I will return

We had a lovely stay here, breakfast was delicious, bed was clean and comfy and the staff were all friendly. The room was a little on the small side but perfectly adequate for our needs and parking was tight but we managed. Lovely hotel and we would use again :)

The corridors in annex building but particularly main building, past kitchens, had a strong old oil cooking smell, which didnt leave your nostrils! Otherwise, nice room and restaurant.
