Reached out to let them know that we were coming in late. Never heard back. Showed up and everything was locked up with no way of getting in. Had to scramble to find another place to stay for the night.

Nice old pub great landlord, food very good. 3 real ales kept well. Room was very big , bathroom nice. But could of been cleaned better, urine stains down front of toilet and not cleaned under seat. Over areas were in need of a deep clean.

Mattress wasn't in the best condition. The breakfast didn't start until 9am, too late for people working

Lovely service and easy access to the hotel. Very basic bedroom for the price. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was bit uncomfortable but not complaining for the price

Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful, although they were busy. We had a lot on so slept soundly but it is a fun, lively, busy pub, travellers who need an early night might struggle in the external rooms

a good stop off place, clean and friendly staff. A little noisy at night, but it was Friday and in the centre of town very good breakfast 👍

Very comfortable clean room above a pub. Nice bed nice sized room very reasonably priced. Car park though busy had spaces both times I needed them. Bit of advice, book taxi's ahead of time and share the cost if attending Clock barn for a wedding. ££ taxi and long waits.

Cosy, middle of small ancient town. No breakfast, although it states included on Expedia site. Flashing lights coming from fire alarm in my room at 3 a.m. which stopped at about 4 a.m.

Great atmospheric hotel in centre of Whitchurch.. great food .. great service. . well recommended I will book again.

Wonkiest place i have ever stayed in. Bathroom old, stinky and filthy. Bed uncomfotrable and on a slope....like i said a wonky building. It was built in 1491...by the looks of it, it is 500 years past its scheduled demolition. Sash windows with no sound insulation. You can hear a mouse fart in the street below and you dont need to listen hard.

Pleasant stay, especially now the rooms have been modernised.

Woken up hourly in the morning by the bells of the town hall opposite! Deluxe room and ensuite was pleasant hut abit dated. Bathroom was nice but shower/bath was difficult to use and not very responsive. Really loud toilet flush for some reason. King bed needs a new mattress but the pillows were ok. Basic tea/coffee station but only one complementary pack of biscuits between two people! Overall good stay for the value!

Not much of a welcome, run down room and the chef never turned up for breakfast.

Good value for money country pub.

Probably the worst bed I’ve laid on. For your own sake, don’t pull the beds out. Last time that was hoovered was probably when the carpet was fitted. Served a purpose and was cheap at £46 but wow.

An old style coaching inn. Room was freshly decorated and clean with good facilities. It was a little tight for space - glad we didn’t have big suitcases. Service and staff were excellent with extremely good breakfast and dinner. Also very dog friendly.

The hotel is extremely tired looking and requires updating. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate dinner here which was average. Breakfast was excellent!!! The bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a good central position
