This hotel is right next to the old town in a perfect location for the shops and restaurants. We were only here for obe night but the staff were really helpful and friendly. We paid for breakfast which was about 15 euro, and the selection was good with freshly squeezed juice. There is secure parking a short distance from the hotel which you can reserve a space in, there is an additional cost. The room was quiet despite its location and had air con. Comfy beds and good quality bed linen. Please note there is no lift so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Beautiful room in a central location. Like many old buildings, there is no lift access and reception is up a staircase so you’ll need to haul your bags up and down flights of stairs. Not staffed after 9.30pm so you need to call someone off site to open to door for access. Reception was not there most of the time and there is no secure storage for your bags if you want somewhere to leave them once you’ve checked out. Otherwise, rooms were really nice and it was a little noisy due to central location but that is as expected.

Make sure you can climb stairs. There is no elevator and the hotel is on a second floor. It is also in a walkable area so you cannot take a cab into the area. Breakfast was delicious and cheap.A bit expensive for the quality of the rooms.

Great location, we had a corner room which was great! You can hear the noise from the street below though, including bin men and delivery trucks throughout the night. Nespresso machine in room with 2 free pods. Steep staircase but we were offered help with our luggage.

The hotel was in a good location and comfortable, with very pleasant staff who changed my stepfather’s room to a lower floor as he had difficulty with the steps. However after checking out, it transpired that we’d been significantly overcharged, with the explanation making no sense. This is in the process of being sorted out, however staff do need to be more thorough in this case.

Hotel Kanai is in a good location to visit Lille which is a great city. The hotel is on a pedestrianised area so access by car is tricky. We booked a space in their car park which is 5 mins walk away but they only have about 4 spaces so book in advance and check the location of it carefully as it's a bit of a maze. Breakfast was excellent, overall well worth staying, great value accommodation in a great location
