Hôtel Mercure Lyon Centre Château Perrache

Il serait bon de trouver une couverture en plus dans les chambres l hiver car elles sont trop froides !

Bonjour, il est bien dommage de ne pas trouver d’après shampooing dans les chambres d’un hôtel quatre étoiles. Merci d’y penser. Bonnes fêtes !

The room ac so loud

Being close to an important train station is the best!!! It is a great hotel to be so close to the train station! Big room! Quiet to sleep! The staff really nice and helfull.

Hotel is dated and could use remodeling. Staff was good.

Hotel is very dated. It is nice but needs some work. Parking is very limited. Next to train station and rental cars.

Redeeming quality of location

The property was very nice and centrally located. We were right next to the train and the metro. The stay itself was very comfortable and colorful which was very nice for our family of 4.

Hotel overall, staff and breakfast were very good. Area felt a little unsafe at night. We booked a room with two beds and we got one bed plus a totally run down sofa bed instead (it didnt close all the way anymore). The chair had a large stain on its fabric seat. The large bed was very comfortable though and the bathroom was in excellent condition.

The crew at the reception was great , especially Shireen she went above and beyond. The hotel is next to train , Tram and bus station.. Rooms are clean and amazing

Staff very welcoming and the hotel is very clean and well laid out. Only minor issue is that pedestrian access is lacking.

A wonderful welcome from the reception staff was followed by a nice sized room, perfect for our 5 night stay. The bed, although a little harder than I'm used to, was very comfortable, and the room itself was quiet. We unexpectedly also had two small balconies, one of which had a view across to the basilica. My only minor criticism was the lift/elevator. Only one small lift was in operation during our stay, which was an issue for some at the hotel who had to cart luggage up and down the stairs. That said, I appreciate it's an old building so they are limited in what they can do. I can't comment on food as we didn't eat here, but being adjacent to Perrache station, the metro whisks you into the city centre and its array of eateries within minutes. All in all, a good hotel.

Never again

Very poor experience, starting from the receptionist who needs to go back to his basics trainings on how to talk to a guest in hospitality… no parking available… lifts out of order with a room on the 5th floor… poor condition of the common spaces with low maintenance very disappointed with Mercure quality standards which was supposed to be 4 stars hotel and clearly does not deserve this rating

The hotel is old and we knew that going in, but it looks like a pack of wild puppies were let loose. Some paint would help the chewed up walls a lot. The employees were not very helpful. We asked quite a few times if someone could look at the tv since it would not work. Not until the last night did someone finally come up and say it doesn’t work. That was it. We were stuck in the room for a couples sick and it would have been nice to have. The same with room service and a couple of other issues. Just not very attentive.

Hotel a little shabby and could do with a refresh. It's a big old building and in it's day would have been beautiful. I chose it because of it's location to a train station but found it awkward to get to. Towels weren't changed everyday and milk was not provided with the tea and coffèe sachets i had to ask for it.
