The food and drinks were a little price, but at least the food portions were very large. Enough for 2 meals. Some of the staff were very welcoming and nice, however, there were some that were not. Very disappointed about that. Due to that, I would not stay again, but overall, nice facility, clean, safe, but I’m really big on the staff. 5 stars for most, 3 for ‘some’ of the staff. *Also, I rarely write reviews, but this was needed. About 20 years ago this hotel was a Marriott and it was simply OK As the grand Hyatt, it is an exceptional hotel. The rooms are beautiful. The heating and air conditioning were perfectly. As is the case in most hotels room service is overpriced, but I rarely ate in the room. The lobby is exceptional. The staff are friendly and kind especially those who are Greek. This is a hotel that is in a transitional area of Greece-- 20 years ago was probably less habitable and only the intercontinental was here but now the modern museum is here. The Onassis center is here. There are numerous places to eat if you don't want to be in the center of all the chaos near Monsteraki Square I highly recommend this hotel as a New Yorker. The walk to the Acropolis, which is about 20 minutes seem like northing. For others Perhaps it might be a hike. The nearest metro is Syngrou Fux and it's about an eight when I walk for me about a 15 minute walk for most.

The property was very nice but becoming a little bit rundown. The carpets need replacing, etc. My one complaint was that the mini fridge did not keep things cold and was never repaired even though I reported it 2 times. The roof rooftop pool has a beautiful view and the staff we’re all very cheerful and kind
