We checked in on ‘Christmas Day and the hotel was fully staffed and the room was spotless. Great view of the Acropolis. We were able to eat at the restaurant on Christmas. Great stay!

Grand Hyatt Athens truly deserves its five-star rating. The hotel is ideally located near the city center. The front desk staff were professional and welcoming, ensuring a smooth check-in. Our room was modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, fully stocked with high-quality amenities. Room service was fast and efficient, and the restaurant staff were experienced and attentive. The *breakfast buffet* was incredibly rich — beyond words — offering a wide variety of high-quality options. The *restaurant on the rooftop* was simply outstanding, with breathtaking views of the *Acropolis*. The *outdoor pool* was stunning, and the *indoor pool*, sauna, and steam room added a luxurious touch to our stay. What truly elevated our experience was the *wonderful spa*. From the friendly reception to the exceptional massage therapists, every detail was perfect. Special thanks to *George and Areta*, whose magical hands transported my wife and me into another world. The spa was clean, well-equipped, and rivals those found in top resorts. Highly recommended for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Athens.

My first room didnt have heat, so i was moved to a different room which was fine. This is a big hotel. I was there for over 2 weeks, and the hallways were always dirty. The staff is not friendly or particularly helpful when i asked questions. If you're just looking for a short stay and the price is right, this might be acceptable.

Sad to say the hotel's photos are far nicer than reality. Our room faced the street and the single pane window did nothing to stave off the car and motorcycle noise at all hours of the night. The location is not within walking distance, nor safe, to any of the historical sites. The only "sights" across the hotel are nude entertainment, so those with small children, beware.

The employees at the Grand Hyatt Athens are friendly and helpful. They offer a convenient shuttle service that drops you off and picks you up downtown Athens three times a day. Additionally, the Blue and Green Line Hop-On Hop-Off (C1 and C11) stops are just a 2–4-minute walk away. If you buy tickets for all three lines, including the Red Line, for two days (which cost us €28 each), you'll get excellent value and see all the major sights. This popular hotel offers comfortable beds and stunning city views from its rooftop. We are two Canadians in their late 60’s and do travel a lot since retirement. It’s family- and dog-friendly, making it a very welcoming place. The room we stayed in had a private bathroom, which is not always guaranteed in Europe. Just a 3-minute walk from the hotel is an excellent, authentic Greek restaurant called Maeina. Their chicken and beef soup is served in generous portions and is delicious, plus they make an amazing gyro. We stayed here for four days in December 2025 and highly recommend this hotel!

The restaurant staff were nice and accommodating. However, the location of the hotel is ok for public transport but when we were there, the buses, trains were always packed and crowded. We had to walk most of the time to access transport to nearby areas. The pillows were not fluffy, need 2-3 pillows to feel there is a pillow. The room service sandwiches and chicken nuggets were very dry, the creme brûlée was nice though. The noise from the road can be heard even with windows closed, ambulances and cars revving was very audible. The room was too small for 3 people but the bathroom was nice & big. The cooler fridge was not so cool. Lastly, the elevators were too small and very slow particularly during breakfast hours. I would give the hotel 3-3.5 stars out of 5

Everything was good! Except following issues - under 6 not allowed in 1.25m depth swimming pool when life guard is present thats ridiculous even with the life vest - 6+can only swim between 10-5pm - breakfast lady supervisor was bit rude Other than that everyone nice and excellent place

The food and drinks were a little price, but at least the food portions were very large. Enough for 2 meals. Some of the staff were very welcoming and nice, however, there were some that were not. Very disappointed about that. Due to that, I would not stay again, but overall, nice facility, clean, safe, but I’m really big on the staff. 5 stars for most, 3 for ‘some’ of the staff. *Also, I rarely write reviews, but this was needed. The property was very nice but becoming a little bit rundown. The carpets need replacing, etc. My one complaint was that the mini fridge did not keep things cold and was never repaired even though I reported it 2 times. The roof rooftop pool has a beautiful view and the staff we’re all very cheerful and kind
