I had a great time staying at Golden Tulip Essential Makassar. It was a spacious bed for twin and I like the decoration especially the bathroom, on top of that the hotel area is very strategic. Near from the main attraction which is Losari Beach (you can take a walk for around 7-10 mins only) and there is convenience store across the street as well with a lot of restaurants around. Overall it was a great value of money, but one thing needs to be improved is most of the staff were slow when it comes to guests request, they need to be reminded frequently to get your request done.

A little story about this hotel: in 2008, before it became the Golden Tulip Hotel, it was called the Delta Hotel. It was here that I met my soulmate, and we both attended tourism training. This hotel has shaped our lives. I truly appreciate the transformation; it's been excellent, and I think it's one of the most highly recommended hotels to stay in when traveling to Makassar. From its strategic location to the excellent facilities, staff service, and room cleanliness, it's all excellent.

The hotel staff was friendly, but I requested a queen-size bed and non-smoking room, but the room I received wasn't suitable (I arrived on a weekday, when the hotel was relatively quiet).
