First time setting foot in Medan, I tried this hotel. The exterior looks like a legendary hotel, there is a sister hotel Grand Antares right before this hotel. The lobby looks traditional and is served well and friendly by the receptionist. Unfortunately, the elevator in the hotel only operates one elevator. The corridor atmosphere feels like old school. As for the rooms, they are spacious and airy. The facilities are quite complete, there is mineral water, an electric kettle, instant drinks, a sofa and a small table, bathroom amenities are also complete. The only drawbacks are the towels that are not absorbent and there is no cable TV. The restaurant is quite spacious but the food is not very varied. Uniquely, traditional cakes are provided in the snack bar. The cleanliness of the restaurant, especially at the food menu table, needs more attention. for the umpteenth time I stayed at Antares Hotel, which in my opinion is actually a very worthy hotel to stay if renovated properly. for example the sound insulation of the windows is still bad, the sound from outside is very clear. And this time out of nowhere there is a strong smell from the bathroom even though it has not been used. even so I am still very happy to stay here because there is a pool for children, the food is quite good, the parking lot is wide, just maybe the workers should smile a little more to the guests. hopefully in the future Antares will be even better, and hopefully there will be a mini fridge in the room to store drinks
