Very clean room and bedsheets, though the room had a light cigarette smell and only 2 pillows were provided. Excellent location right by the train station, with great restaurants and a coffee shop around the corner that serves amazing cappuccinos and pastries. Stayed 2 nights.

Basic hotel if you just need a place to sleep close to the train station. We had a king size bed which was a plus while in Europe. Our room was on the 4th floor and although there is traffic on the main street, it was relatively quiet at night. AC worked fine. Overall, a good stay. PS. They allowed us to check in early (noon) which was great after a long train ride!

Stopped at Spice Hotel for 4 nights on a room only basis. Rooms were modern and the bed very comfortable. We were offered a room with either street views or inside views on check in so opted for the inside view thinking this would be quieter. As we were only using the hotel as a base the fact that the view was only the outside stairs didn’t bother us and the room was very quiet. Location spot on…few minutes walk from the train station and metro station and lots of restaurants nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here and would stay again if ever in Milan

We were sent to a different hotel, that was supposedly a four star hotel, since there was a problem with our room. The room had a bathtub that you could break your neck getting into ( no shower).. The room did not have any coffee or tea supplies and was very strange - painted black, including the bathroom. The room also had a ladder ( very peculiar). It also lacked ammenities , like Kleenex. Very disappointing experience. We also had to pay 6 more euros for the city tax for a 1 night stay for 2 people.

AC is NOT working. It gives hot air only while it is supposed to cool down the air. So very hot and stuffy for the whole day and night. Power supply is NOT stable. The light in the room went out frequently. Called the staff, but not repair it. The hotel infrastructure is poor overall.

My stay was unfortunately very disappointing due to several issues that significantly impacted my comfort and ability to use the room as expected. 1. The air conditioning was not functioning properly. Despite leaving the AC running at maximum fan speed and the lowest temperature setting while I was out on tour, the room temperature remained at approximately 25°C after sunset, even though the outdoor temperature was around 23°C. Opening the windows was not a practical solution because my room faced the main road, and the traffic noise was excessive. 2. The refrigerator was also not cooling adequately. Beverages stored inside were barely cooler than room temperature and were not pleasant to drink. 3. The Wi-Fi connection on the 4th floor was extremely poor. Guests who need reliable internet access for work should be aware of this limitation. I went to the front desk to report these issues. Unfortunately, there was only one staff member working the night shift, and there was very little he could do. No maintenance support was available, there were no portable fans available, and there was no alternative room to which I could be relocated. Additionally, when I mentioned the Wi-Fi issue, I was informed that the hotel was already aware of the poor connection on the 4th floor. This information was not disclosed at check-in, and I would have appreciated being informed in advance so I could make an informed decision about my stay.

The reason we chose the hotel was the proximity to the train station yet we were given a room at the ground floor was smelled and we had to change it to another one on the ground floor which had a window that was looking insde the building. The room was clean and modern yet felt like a closed box. The AC did not work and when I asked they said they will change it to manual from central so that the room can get colder but it never worked. We had to open the only window that was facing an inside corridor in the hotel and people were allowed to smoke there apparently so we woke up to smoke in our room. The pictures look great on Expedia but for that price I would pick another hotel or pay a little more. It was 3 min walking to the train station so that was convenient but the rest was not what we expected. Not sure what the other floors looked like but do not stay on the ground floor.

Only problem was the fact that the bathroom doorlock was on the outside side of the door rather than inside which was bizarre.

Very basic, but it got the job done for a quick overnight at the train station. The decor is a sort of faux Battlestar Gallactica, but nice to have some flair. Rooms small but well appointed. BUT -- a few caveats that will keep me from returning: - No coffee in room or out. Really? It's a small an inexpensive courtesy to have a carafe in the lobby in the morning. (Moreover: 20 Euros per person for an apparently-mediocre breakfast is absurd. Just get an excellent cornetto and espresso next door.) - Sewage smell from the bathroom drains, even on the third floor. (It's clear the bathrooms are clean, and we had no trouble with drainage. Some sort of structural plumbing issue seems to blame.) We slept with the bathroom door closed and towels over the drain to minimize the smell, but even then... yikes. - hardest, slimmest pillow ever, and no extras. All four of us woke up with stiff necks. - AC works, but barely. It was 70F outside during the day and still hot overnight even with AC+fan on high. Just... stuffy. The drains didn't help.

Spice hotel was super stylish, comfortable & had a great breakfast. We'd booked a wheelchair accessible room but this turned out to be inaccessible due to the narrow corridor leading to it but the staff were really helpful, seeing if we could get into the room next door (we couldn't) and then moving us to a larger room which came directly off of the lobby - unfortunately with no accessible bathroom but we made it work. The hotel was also very close to Milano Centrale Station which made it excellent for trains/ metro travel - although everyone told us to avoid the station at night. On the whole a brilliant place to stay. Nb - if you need a wheelchair ramp the staff have to put it outside every time you want to go in and out.

A great traveler's hotel as it is within blocks of Milano Centrale, the train station. Staff was helpful, even weeks after I stayed when for immigration purposes I needed them to verify my stay.
