Kobe Plaza Hotel West

We stayed at Kobe Plaza Hotel West and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel has its excellent location right on Motomachi shopping street, just a short walk from Motomachi Station and close to restaurants, shops, Chinatown and other attractions — making it ideal for sightseeing and exploring Kobe on foot.The beds are not small at all.

The hotel is centrally-situated. We walked or took a short train ride most of the time since it’s close all the places we wanted to go to. The staff is very helpful as well and the facility was very clean and cozy.

Kobe Plaza Hotel West was a super convenient and comfortable base for exploring Kobe. The best part? The location. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from Motomachi Station, so getting anywhere is really easy. You’re also right next to Motomachi’s shopping street and just a short walk from Chinatown, which means endless food options, snacks, cafés, and late-night bites. If you like wandering around and discovering little local spots, this area is perfect. The hotel itself is clean, simple, and has everything you need. The rooms are standard size for Japan, they’re cozy and well-kept. Wi-Fi works great, and there’s even a laundry area on the 2nd floor, which is the same floor for breakfast. Big shout-out to Julia, who helped us during our stay. She was super friendly and made our stay easier. Having someone that helpful at the front desk really makes a difference
