Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu

Great hotel overall. However, there were noises from cars racing on the streets few nights. They were really loud. I was already on top floor. Apparently there is a note in the room that you can request ear plugs from the reception. So this is a continual issue. I think the hotel must deal with these issues with the police or authority to stop these from affecting the hotel guests. I also didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant as it was fully booked due to events. The taxi drivers couldn't find the entrance to the driveway and had to go around twice the block.

Ideal location near the intersection of the two main Metro lines for tourists. Excellent rooms and very good breakfast.

It is a great hotel with easy transportation to Namba, etc. It sits in warm and peaceful neighborhoods and also has incredible dining options. The staff are excellent and very professional for non Japanese speakers. The hotel includes a tasty breakfast buffet and would recommend trying the French toast. It is very accessible to tourists and has very clean rooms. The room is very spacious compared to other Japanese hotels at the same level. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, can walk to

Very nice hotel, with excellent facilities. The room was very large with plenty of floor space, and a much bigger bed than I expected. The shower/wet room is also fantastic. Excellent location, in a quiet area that is only a very short walk in to Dotenbori. It’s also very close to the Metro Station for easy travel. I had a fantastic two-week stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Will definitely go back.

It’s a business hotel. The breakfast is great- completely worthwhile for both Japanese and western breakfast takers. It’s very clean. The sound isolation is not top notch but doable and didn’t interrupt sleep.

The room was spacious, clean and very modern. Location is pretty great with walking distance to the subway station. Will definitely come back again.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful and kind, the room was amazing, the food was amazing.

I really liked the environmentally friendly aspect. If you choose to not clean your room they donate to a charity

Good hotel for shopping and eating. Within 5-30 minutes, you can walk through the busy shopping and eating districts. This hotel is one block from the subway train.

I stayed 21 days here. I really enjoyed the hotel overall. The breakfast buffet was great and I had it most every day, just wish I decided to purchase the breakfast ticket beforehand to save some money, but it was well worth it anyway. I’m a vegan and found tons of delicious and nutritious items every day. Some days this is the only meal I ate because I could get so much for my money. The room was nice. Spacious, comfortable and the bathtub and toilet area was very nice and functional. Many people have mentioned the elevator system and while yes it’s a bit strange, I didn’t really find it a big deal. The elevators were quick and functional. I also used the laundry machines and those worked fine, but don’t load them too full or else you’ll be drying for a couple extra cycles. The major downside is as others have mentioned, the streets can get pretty noisy with obnoxious bikers that for some reason like to rev their bikes for kicks. This really only bothered me 2 or 3 nights out of the time I was there and it died down, but if the windows could be sound proofed further, that would be ideal. Overall it was a great stay here and I would do so again.

Pros: Overall good hotel with a plus of being close to the train station, which lets you get to various parts of Osaka easily. Staff was also pretty helpful if I needed something. Cons: I liked that there was a full bathtub, but mine had a weird smell coming from it, so I didn't end up using it. There is a gym, which is nice and clean, but it doesn't have any weights.

The hotel is extremely nice with large rooms and vending machines in a couple floors. It's in a very rich area. There's a lot of luxury brands like Ferrari, Rolex, and Lamborghini in the immediate vicinity around the hotel. There's also a nice extension of Doutonbori a couple streets over to go shopping without walking the full 20 minutes to the heart of Doutonbori.

The location of this hotel was great. The room was clean and reasonably large (superior double) and the bed comfortable. The layout of the room was unusual (to us) with the sink in the room itself although this didn't detract from the stay. We didn't try the hotel bar/restaurant which looked to be expensive in comparison to other local options (although similar to other hotels we have stayed at in Japan).

this is my go-to hotel in Osaka. I've stayed here twice now and will continue booking here for any future Osaka trips. It's a very affordable hotel, spotless, and modern. The staff are kind, efficient, and helpful. The location is super convenient. There's a train station on the same block and multiple convenience stores nearby.There's also a shopping strip nearby that leads to the Dontonburi location. Very walkable location. Highly recommend this hotel.
