We recently concluded our stay at the Hyatt Centric Malta and, while we were initially very excited, we regrettably found that the experience fell short of the expected standards for a five-star establishment. There was the lack of consistent professionalism among the staff, which resulted in a service level below what we have experienced at comparable four-star properties. Although staff seemed to be trying, the service was inconsistent, suggesting potential training or management issues. Furthermore, the breakfast was often disappointing, as the food was frequently cold and not very fresh, despite a good variety. On our final day, we felt unnecessarily rushed regarding checkout, receiving three separate calls from Housekeeping and Reception more than 30 minutes before the required time. Finally, the in-room air conditioning was ineffective, leaving the room feeling stuffy. We did appreciate the positive aspects of the hotel, including its excellent location, proximity to shops and restaurants, and the cleanliness, layout, and comfort of the room. In summary, while the hotel has potential, we were ultimately disappointed with the overall level of service and quality during our visit.

Positives Great friendly staff , very clean good breakfast and club access with unlimited drinks and snacks was a very nice .. touch ! location of hotel was really. Central for St Julian’s and had good amenities..gym swimming pool was decent ! Parking was tight but good as we had a hired car..and was free Negatives View from the hotel was not nice..but again you cannot.blame the hotel for that And also the TV doesn’t natively allowing streaming from your phone , it allows YouTube and Netflix sign in only unlike most Hyatt world app with allows you to mirror ! They were kind enough to plug in a HDMI cable for us ..to use , but they stopped working after the first night ! Also periodically there was a really bad smell , a bit like sewage not sure if it was the area or the location of our room ! We were on the 9th floor .. but that was a bit off putting from time to time ! The hotel is just about 1 year old .. but we will definitely consider coming back here .. This is our first trip to Malta in over 25 years ! We had been 3 times prior

Absolutely no complaints at all. Great stay perfect for a short break. Walking distance to promenade with access to the bays and sea front. Also close to party area Paceville - if that’s your thing! Close to bus routes to Valletta with brilliant bus service and is only 3 euros. Breakfast plentiful and lovely omelettes! Lovely indoor and rooftop pool and cool little Technogym. Shout out to the chap that helps with luggage during check in and out - very helpful and friendly a credit to the hotel. Would certainly recommend if visiting Malta. Missing already!

Roof pool needs some type of barrier other than just glass panels , to disguise how high it actually is . 2 people in my group who are terrified of heights couldn’t use it. But if the height & drop were less obvious & concealed in some way, they would have attempted to actually venture out of the lift instead of being frozen in fear.

Great location, close to the heart of St Julians but quiet, and close to transport. The hotel is very clean and the facilities are really nice, specially the pool and spa. The breakfast was very good and they go the extra mile to cater for dietary requirements. All the staff is super helpful and provides great service, special thanks to Angel (cleaning), Arjun (breakfast) and Shivam (reception). Although the room was amazing we were facing a corner wall and had no natural light coming in (would have been even a better experience with a different view).

Great pool upstairs, nice restaurant, friendly staff and very helpful. The food was good and the drinks even better! Walkable to all things st. Julian’s, so many places to eat and shop… the room itself was so pleasant. Very new and clean and the daily cleaning was well done. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful. Overall 10/10.
