Hotel Prins Hendrik

I booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child (15 year old) and when I got to check in they said that my booking was for a 1 year old and that they couldn’t give me the room that I booked and charge me with an extra 50 euros. The room smelled like cigarettes.

This is definitely a 2-star hotel, with a favorable location very close to the train station and multiple dining options. The area was very walkable. The idea of four or five buildings connected and turned into a hotel is quaint. But the building is in bad need of remodeling. Very dated and worn. There is no lobby to speak of. Just a single sofa. No tea or coffee service that you see in other hotels in the area. The staff was efficient, but not friendly. In fact, one morning the clerk was very short, nearly yelling, at guest's struggling with the language barrier. The room was small, but about average for a European hotel. When I arrived, the previous guest's rubbish was still in the bin. The bathroom needs a thorough cleaning. The shower curtain was stained. And the towels were worn and threadbare The bed was very soft and very close to the floor. It needs to be replaced. The location is fine, but the walls are very thin. I could hear the fellow in the next room snoring, as well as all the people on the street below, excitedly singing their drinking songs. Overall, a only 2 star hotel.

Location was great. Breakfast buffet was pretty good (7 out of 10). Staff were friendly and very helpful with directions. We requested a room on the bottom floor bc we are seniors. We didn’t know how extremely noisy it would be. There were bars and drunk loud people right next to our window until very late into the night. No way to get a good sleep.

Only for the deep sleepers! Not really the hotels fault but the surrounding areas are very loud until the very early hours. Had the worst two nights sleep. The hotel really should put better soundproof windows and place a warning on their booking sites. It reallly is that bad. And no toaster for toast at breakfast but sliced bread! Hotel also dated and rooms look untouched for years (still had signs for ISDN! How very 1990s!) Very strong smell of smoke in corridors. HOWEVER. Staff were magnificent and the location is good just a shame for the drunken louts smashing windows etc in the night as the crawl back to their cages.

A bit outdated but worth the price for the location it's at. Across the street from Central Train station and walking distance to great areas within the city. Great room since you'll only need it to sleep and shower.

Location cannot be beat. Very convenient to walk or take a train to anywhere. Very cooperative staff especially with flexibility on storing your luggage after you check out. The only issue was Wi-Fi which I could barely catch a signal of in my room.

The room was clean and comfortable. All the were kind and friendly. The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel was excellent.

Long cumbersome, old fashioned and SLOW check-in at Hotel Prins Hendrik. Nice location but the standard of the room was less than expected.

Location was excellent, guest services was helpful and so nice, room was big and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and pleasant, wonderful overall.

The room was definitely older but clean. I felt safe in the area and the front desk staff was very helpful. It's a 5 minute walk to the Eurostar so it great for an early morning departure.

I should've spent my whole trip at this hotel and Carlo was super helpful.
