The rooms were updated as best as they could be, air conditioning was fresh and everything matched my expectations for the price we paid. Great location for anyone wanting to get the most out of Amsterdam city centre

The Alfred hotel is centrally located just off a canal and walkable to the Museum campus. They have a breakfast buffet that could be purchased if not booked with the room. Very authentic Netherlands fare(bacon, eggs, holland pancakes) as well as coffee juices and fresh fruit. The hotel rents bikes. Very satisfied with our choice to stay here. Thanks Hotels.com. Once again a wonderful success for our travels.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful, upscale neighborhood that felt safe, charming and peaceful. It was also perfectly walkable too many of Amsterdams museums.

The location is center and in a way close to the airport. They offer breakfast at the hotel but expensive and very limited in options. The last day they had maintenance on the elevator so I had to carry my luggage through the stairs without anyone helping me. Keep this in mind.

Nice hotel, clean, tidy and well maintained with good facilities in the room. Located in quiet, safe area within walking distance of the city centre and tram stops nearby for travelling across the city. Perfect for a short stay to see the sites of Amsterdam, think continental breakfast was available but we booked room only and plenty of local eating options by the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed only one night. The beds were very comfortable. I didn’t like the shower much. No shelves and no shower door. Other than that the location is 40 minutes from the city center which is great.

Travelled with children. Quadruple Room was okay. Everything in the room was very dusty. The biggest turn off was the attitude of some of the staff. Did not feel as though they cared much about helping guests.

Visually, It is an older hotel. Location is good wih a great transit system that get get u anywhere in the city. The walking distance to certain attractions was good. Neighborhood is safe. We had a room that was spacious for 3 adults. We did not opt into the breakfast buffet. Not many amenities. Good bang for your buck. Amsterdam is an expensive city

Overall, we had a very good stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. The location was convenient and made it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well. Overall the experience was pleasant and we would consider staying here again.

Room very small but didnt bother us as was only a place to sleep. Coffee machine was great! Unfortunately as the room was just off the lobby it could be loud some nights. Overall a nice stay.
