The James Hotel Rotterdam

Good location in town centre.

Beautiful hotel. Reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. We arrived very early and were able to check in straight away which was brilliant. Amazing shower in the bathroom. 24hr market with a great space to chill out in. Really lovely hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at The James Hotel in Rotterdam. I could check in early, which was very helpful as I had a few pieces of luggage. The room was clean and comfortable. There is also an Albert Heijn supermarket less than 5 minutes away, which is great for buying food and drinks and topping up on extra necessities. Koopgoot and Lijnbaan are also a stones throw away in case any last minute shopping needs to be done! The reception staff were kind and helpful. They speak both English and Dutch, which is very useful if you are visiting from another country and do not speak the local language. Check-in was easy and everything was clear. This will definitely be my hotel of choice going forward anytime I do come to Rotterdam, as it's very central to everything (Tram stops, Metro Station, Rotterdam Centraal, etc). I would happily stay here again! The only negative would have to be the scaffolding / building work going on next door whilst I stayed - which meant having to walk in the road anytime I left to go outside, but thats not something within their control!

Room was very spacious for a standard room. Very clean. Good pod coffee machine and decent shower pressure. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel was also very well situated.

central area not far to walk to any attractions. breakfast was a great idea you only pay for what you want. very comfortable beds and pillows. would highly recommend

Hotel is really nice but the parking didn't fit my relatively small Volvo xc40 rental and the construction out the windows starts at 7wm

Room was spacious and elegant. All shared spaces were inviting and well appointed. Rental bikes were amazing- complete with a day guide to the city. Highly recommend.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel James in Rotterdam! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the nearby attractions. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable, with thoughtful details that make you feel at home. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. One of the highlights was the overall atmosphere of the hotel—it’s stylish yet cozy, and everything feels well-maintained. I also appreciated the amenities offered, which added great value to the experience. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to make the gym accessible 24 hours a day. For guests with varying schedules or those who prefer late-night or early-morning workouts, this would be a fantastic addition to an already excellent experience. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel James for anyone visiting Rotterdam. I’ll definitely return!

Room was bad the view was of a wall. Also there was heavy construction scaffolding on the windows.

Great room very quiet but in a great location for what we needed, staff were exceptional from reception to the lady in ths hotel shop great communication and only too happy to help. Excellent value for money. Only negatives were that our bedroom view was of a multistorey car park accross the road and the top of the buidling appears to be a construction site but we heard no noise over the weekend.
