The James Hotel Rotterdam

It was fine :)

The hotel was clean and everything worked like it was supposed to, which is unfortunately not so common. The AC worked great and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. My room was clean and quiet.

Excellent hall space for the 24/7 use of hotel guests where you are allowed to take your own food. This is what would make us rebook if we revisited. Well located near to trams and subways with easy access to Rotterdam main central station. Major supermarket very close by and large open air food and shopping also very close.

Everything was first class. Brilliant, helpful staff, quiet rooms, great location. Highly recommended.

We had a short overnight stay but had a great experience. I would certainly consider this hotel for a longer stay. Our room was apacious and very comfortable. I made use of the gym and the ‘food hall’ concept for breakfast (you select your reasonably priced items then pay via a McDonalds like order screen) with other items was great. The hotel is located close to a variety of eateries and a quality shoppping mall, and is a short walk from Stadhuis and Rotterdam Centraal metros/trains.

Lovely stay- huge room, comfy bed and great shower. The lounge and little shop on the 2nd floor was a great addition.

This is a excellent hotel, in a good location to see all the sites. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and stylish decor. We couldn't fault it, highly recommended!

Super clean hotel. I did not have one complaint or one negative observation. Great location. One block to the metro. Couple of blocks to shopping in the marina. Just a few blocks from the train station. It’s a really good hotel. Only negative was construction going on nearby. That’s not their fault.

I had a great stay at The James Hotel Rotterdam and would definitely stay here again. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable throughout my two-night stay, which was very important to me. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and much better than some of the reviews I had read beforehand. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Rotterdam and within walking distance of plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, as well as the metro and tram, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. I also appreciated that the air conditioning worked well, especially during the warmer weather, making the room very comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and found this hotel to be a great choice for anyone visiting Rotterdam. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it, especially for solo travelers.

The rooms were cleaned daily. Front desk staff were very professional. Tons of shops & restaurants nearby. We travel a lot, and this was the most comfortable hotel we stayed at recently. Rooms were spacious & the AC temp was set perfectly. Plenty of natural light in the room but you can just draw the curtains to keep the light out especially during the summer months. They also have a snack bar/market which is open 24/7 if you get hungry for snacks. Overall very satisfied with our stay.
