The hotel is close to everything. We didn't have a car, and we just walked around town to reach the fish market, restaurants, and shops within minutes. The room was so nice and clean. The surroundings from the hotel are very safe. The breakfast was excellent.We had a lovely two-night stay.

Right across the train station and bus terminal. Walkable to food and attractions. Well maintained room and was quiet for us with no disturbances even though we were informed that there was an event happening that evening. Will book again if we visit Bergen again

The room was a litlle dark onky one small window but not where the beds are. When shower the toilet area get wet aswell. Very well located walking out the train station and you are direct by the hotel. Also close to the city center and vis market.

Nice location by the train station but other than that I'm not sure that the historical significance of the hotel is worth staying in a severely outdated place. The breakfast buffet was average, particularly when compared to what the Thon branded hotels offer. Add to that the extremely small rooms and a price that isn't competitive for what you get, you might want to look elsewhere.

The location was great for getting on the train to Oslo early this morning. But the carpet and upholstery were stained (and older) and the door lock was difficult. The noise was bothersome 1) street cars (not great insulation, older hotel) 2) A repetitive thumping we believe was from exercise facility from 10:30 PM woke us up 3 Loud young adults returned to hotel from a night on the town, keeping us up until 1:30 AM Management quieted them after we complained.

The place is beautiful and staff very helpful and friendly. We happened to be there the same weekend as a huge wedding and despite the extra business everything flowed perfectly. Plenty of space and variety at breakfast too. The only downside I wished I'd known, is that part of the reason we chose this hotel is that they have a laundry room available. They only have one washer and dryer, it is tiny, and it doesn't work very well. There several people figuring out how to take turns and all of us ended up hanging up our damp, somewhat clean clothes in our rooms

Our room was delightful and would have rated 5/5 if considered in isolation. However our 80 year old travelling companions who arrived around 7pm in the evening were told that even though they had booked and prepaid 6 months previously that the hotel was fully booked. They were shunted to an adjoining house and given an attic room accessed by an extremely steep staircase effectively a ladder. Compared to our room in the hotel itself, it was spartan. So that was disappointing and left a bad taste in our mouth. As such I have to mark down our score for the hotel to 3/5.

Nice hotel, with lovely grand dining room for an evening meal. Room was more basic and dated than expected, although bathroom was modern and clean. Train station is literally opposite, so perfect to catch our train to Oslo when we departed.

I was upgraded to the Villa Terminus. It is a historic and amazing hotel annexed to the Hotel Grand Terminus. It was a life experience that I will not forget.

Wasn’t sure what to expect after reading seversl negative reviews, but our experience was wonderful. Booked a deluxe room for just under $400 CAD and it was excellent. It was in a newer section so not sure if that made a difference or not? The location is perfect and the breakfast that was included was really nice.

The hotel offered spacious accommodation and generous hospitality. I attended a conference there and found some spaces a little awkward to access. Having said that, there were plenty of spaces of variable size to meet the needs of workshops, large gatherings and small groups. The food was fabulous!
