Grand Hotel Terminus

Tremendous hotel. Stayed overnight, wish now had been a few days. Right by the station, good communications beforehand so I knew exactly the right light rail stop. Never seen such a comprehensive buffet breakfast selection and all included in the price! Don’t hesitate, book it.

Possibly the best hotel I’ve stayed at in my entire life. Breakfast is life changing

We stayed here after Radisson cancelled our stay at short notice. So glad they did! The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely 'old world' feel. The breakfast has a brilliant selection (one of the best I've had) and was always fully stocked, even towards the end. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Drinks in the bar are nice although expensive, but expected in Norway. The rooms are small (especially the bathroom) but my parents & I found it perfectly adequate for us, although would appreciate 2 pillows rather than 1 :)

Amazing 97 year old hotel! Directly across from the train station and a very short walk to the fish market area and hiking areas. It is beautiful and elegant inside. The rooms are extremely large for the area! The views are wonderful! Great breakfast which is included. You won’t be disappointed!

The room was well presented and clean, Excellent location beside the railway station.

Good location close to train station and walking distance to Bryggen, Floibanen, museums and attractions. Close to Festplassen and music could be heard until about midnight. Older building has been nicely preserved and retains its character. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Parking is in Parkade a couple blocks away.

Couldn't be closer to Bergen Station, it is a lovely hotel with an impressive art collection throughout the public areas of the hotel. Excellent rooms. Wonderful breakfast.

Beautiful building,original wood panels and arts

Room was shabby. No heat in the room. Bathtub/shower was a slipping hazard. Door didn’t lock properly. On the bright side, good location and breakfast.

The staff is super nice and professional. The check in and check out is smooth. But the room rate is unjustifiably too high

The hotel was in a convenient location, but unfortunately not worth the price. The walls were paper thin, so we were kept up all night by noise from a neighboring room. We also stayed at the hotel specifically because of the hotel bar, which was massively overrated.

- noisy due to concerts on both nights we stayed there, - locker in the room did not work - had to ask twice to get the towels replaced/beds done

We were only here one night, but it was a nice stay. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. They had a complimentary coffee bar set up which a very nice touch. We had an early train to catch the next morning, so the hotel provided us with breakfast bags since we would miss the included breakfast. The bags had plenty of food including yogurt, a sandwich , fruit and juice. The train station was just across the street from the hotel.

We booked four twin rooms and they were all very different in regards to size, outlook and comfort. Size was a big factor as we, as a couple, could not fit easily into the room with 2 people and two large cases. One of our party had a room where the windows would barely open and the room remained too warm, whereas ours opened freely and and we had a lovely cool breeze through open windows. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Reception staff were open to us changing rooms when available. But this is a busy hotel, so changes were not a given. The breakfast room was large and the quality of the food was high. We also had dinner in the restaurant twice. The first night the food and service was spot on - the second night one main dinner had to be sent back as the fish didn't taste quite 'right'. Three other meals were incomplete (none of the delicious potatoes that we had on night one) Simon the waiter handled the issue with calmness and efficiency and solved the issues immediately. The chef must have had a bad night that second visit? Overall we'd recommend the hotel for location, ambience, cleanliness and the staff- who were efficient and friendly.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Location very convenient as directly outside the train station and easy 20 min taxi ride to the airport.

The hotel has been updated but still possesses old world charm. It is elegant yet functional. For people who appreciate style and classy fixtures and art, this is the place for you.

Nice hotel and comfortable room, great location next to main railway station. The staff at reception checked me into the villa next door, this was quite quaint but meant I had to carry my 2 suitcases through the garden and up a narrow staircase to the second floor. Not very convenient for a single female traveler. The room was big, the bathroom tiny, in the shower you gad to watch not to hit the declining ceiling. Breakfast buffet was ok but felt a bit like a dining hall with tables in rows.

We booked the grand terminus room. The room was tiny without any basic facility like water kettle and complementary coffee or tea. I would not recommend this costly but really poorly maintained hotel to anyone.
