Great location as it is near the docking area of boats. Breakfast area overlooks the El Nido Bay. Hotel is also near a lot of great restaurants. Hotel staff are accommodating.

Steps to the Beach Port
Staff- friendly, always helpful. Location- a bit hard to find ( in a small alleyway) but just ask the locals for directions. We booked adjoining rooms (accommodation for 6 people). Just enough space. Showers are a bit of an issue for me on our first day because the water leaked and made all the toilet area wet as well... then I realised that’s the norm.. so..ok.. Their breakfast area is the best part of this property. Perfect view of the port/ beach/ mountains/ sunset/sunrise. Staff can arrange discounted tours.

Very Nice Staff, Clean and Comfortable Room
The staff at the Aqua Lodge were very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are simple, clean and have strong air conditioning ;) The rates were much lower than other hotels in the area, and they are located on the water near many restaurants, scuba diving shops and bars. They serve very tasty traditional filipino breakfast, included with your stay. They also serve Western breakfast but I did not order so can't say much about it. Their dining area is on a roof deck overlooking the bay bordered by a looming limestone mountain, and it is incredibly lovely to have breakfast up there. We also booked an Island Hopping Tour with The Aqua Lodge and had a very nice time. Great guide--thanks Vic and crew! Overall we had a very positive experience with the Aqua Lodge.

Island Hopping Break
Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights whilst island hopping around El Nido. I can't really complain about the accommodation as it was very cheap! as such you do get what you pay for. It was clean, although some sheets appeared to have stains thats couldnt be removed. Beds are adequate but I would not describe them as comfortable. The aircon worked well and was definitely needed. Staff at the hotel came across as disinterested on the whole. breakfast was ok, this is chosen the night before and so is cooked to order. It is very central and close to the shops and tour centres which is ideal. although if you want peace and quiet book out of town. I would consider staying here again for the price and location. If you need or want luxury then look elsewhere. If you want a cheap, clean centrally located place to stay this might be ok for you.

Super nice people
We didn't stay at Travel lodge but we got our Tours package from Aqua Travel Lodge and Tours. Their customer service was excellent. We were greeted with such warmth welcome. I would recommend them anytime.

Could be better
It was the first time I visit El Nido and had higher expectations of the accommodations. There are much newer hotels to stay at but at much higher prices and was told that for the price, we got okay value so please take that into consideration when booking. The staff was friendly and I realize much of what I am about to comment is out of their control to fix. This review perhaps is more appropriate for the management company or the lodge owners. It was 3 of us traveling and we booked a room through Travelocity. The room was ready when we arrived but when we opened the door to the room I wanted to vomit. The smell of humidity was overpowering. There was an AC unit in the room and we turned that full blast to try to lessen the smell. The smell was the strongest in the bathroom, so we had to open the window immediately. Perhaps it was just the room we had, but when we open the bathroom window we had to be careful how much to open it, otherwise the neighbors next door (higher floor) would be able to see you as you showered. We couldn't open the curtain in the room because we were so close to the neighbor's house that opening the curtain felt like an invasion of privacy for both the neighbors and ourselves. The linen on the mattresses (very thin mattresses), felt humid and one of the pillows was supper smelly. Imagine, washing your laundry but forgetting to take it out of the washer for a few days, then take it out, finish drying it if it is not dry already and then wearing it, stinky! We called the front desk to have a clean pillow brought up to us but were told that they had no extra pillows since the lodge was full. The water was very unpleasantly smelly as well. We could not brush our teeth with it! Yes it was that bad. We had to use bottled water to be able to brush our teeth. Showering was a challenge since we could not have enough bottled water for us to shower with so we endured the smelly water. No amount of shampoo could eliminate the smell of the water. We were told the water at El Nido was not safe to drink, but we did not imagine it would be this bad and smelly to even shower with. Now, while the water experience was bad at this place, we had another group of friends stay at a different place a few blocks away and their water was not smelly at all, their linen smelled fresh too!. So not sure where the problem originates for the water that Aqua Lodge uses. On the positive side, the room had AC, breakfast was included and we were able to use the Wifi, slow but could use it for basic stuff.
