About Muntinlupa

Muntinlupa Landmarks

Situated in the southernmost part of the National Capital Region is the city of Muntinlupa. If you’d like to explore some of the best commercial establishments in

, come visit Muntinlupa. Discover its rich history through its historical landmarks and enjoy its culture and leisure at night.

From its humble beginnings, Muntinlupa City has worked its place up among one of the best and progressive cities in the Philippines and became known as the Emerald City of the Philippines.

Its name is believed to come from different origins but no records can firmly state that these are historically correct: (1) Muntinlupa is believed to be associated with the thin topsoil around the area, (2) it was rumored that the residents of Muntinlupa was asked by Spaniards what place are they in and replied with “Monte sa Lupa” and mistaking the question for what card game they were playing then, (3) it is called Muntinlupa because of its topographical nature, where “Monte” or mountain and have developed to Muntinlupa or mountain land.

How to Go

By land transportation

You can reach Muntinlupa via train, bus, or jeepney. You can start your journey to the city by dropping off at Manuela Metropolis, one of the famous malls in the south. If you’re coming from Makati, go to EDSA and ride a bus going to Alabang/Manuela Mall.

From Manila, preferably Lawton, Taft, or PGH, you can ride a bus going to Alabang and get off at the terminal market or Metropolis Alabang. This is a small hill inside the NBP reservation compound that holds a WWII vintage Japanese canon. Meanwhile, the Director’s Quarters, built in 1941, shows the effect of a pre-war architecture that shows an outstanding edifice.

We check in late that 's why we weren't able to maximize the full experience at azumi hotel but all in all the staff are friendly and very polite, the rooms smells nice and still big. The pool is long and very beautiful at night. Many food options nearby (molito area). We have a nice and relaxing day. Will definitely come back.

Vivere Hotel
We had an amazing stay at Vivere Hotel. Our room was upgraded to suite so it was even better! The only issue we've noticed is the weak flush pressure but other than that, all equipment and things in the room are okay. It 's perfect for a relaxing staycation within Metro Manila.

HOP INN Hotel Alabang
Customer service handling needs improvement, imagine I am already at the reception with the lady staff when she handled a phone call and left me there waiting with no other staff trying to assist for the whole duration of the call. They have to ask me for my name twice, the first one was one while she was having this phone conversation and then asked me again after the call ended so it was quite obvious she was not paying attention to me at all. Also, there 's no initiative at all, I was waiting in the hotel for already 3 hours, and the foreigner guy who came in later than I did got checked in first when I was just sitting there near the reception for hours.

The Bellevue Manila
We had a splendid stay at Bellevue Manila (our first time), and probably the best option to spend our 14th year anniversary. Because of our tight work schedule, we decided to postpone our international trip and decided to have a staycation for 4D and 3N in the hotel. We usually do hotel hopping around the metro if our schedule permits, and it 's been a while since we stayed in Alabang. (+)-Booking was very easy via Traveloka and we even got a discount.- We were assigned a room at the new tower and everything looks fine.- We received a cake slice as token for our anniversary.- The receptionist, bell boys, shuttle drivers and room service attendants were very cordial and nice.- Shuttle service made it convenient for hotel guests to explore the area.- Vue Bar was great (plus the music), and we got to celebrate our anniversary there with some friends (though food and alcoholic beverages were a little expensive)- Breakfast buffet was great, with lots of options to choose from.- Our late check out request was accommodated (checking out was a breeze)(-)- The lady manager at the buffet area was a little biased for she seemed to prioritize foreigners and accommodated their requests (provided better seats with larger table by combining 2, allowed to move seating location, etc.)-Not too sure, but I had stomach flu and didn't feel on our last night (even skipped breakfast the following day for I feel super sick). I don't remember taking outside food during that time, but only from the hotel 's breakfast buffet and Vue Bar. Overall, our stay was good and will definitely go back!

Nice and big room. They provided complete toiletries and slippers. There is also bath robe aside from the bath towel. WiFi is good but can connect only 2 guests. There is no swimming pool. There is a basement parking. Hallway is nicely decorated. Location is near Jollibee and Chowking.
