We stayed one night after flying into Manila. The rooftop pool and bar were a plus after a flight. The hotel is in a great location, an easy walk from Terminal 3. There are lots of food options very close to the hotel and in a nice area. The room had lots of space for a family of four.

My overall experience here was superb! The staff are all friendly. The Wi-Fi is also easy to access and the speed is quite okay. Plus 10 points here as they also provide a shuttle van to/from MOA which is very very convenient and the van is also clean and on time. Will definitely book this hotel again. Ohhhh, another plus point, they have a bidet which most of the hotels in Manila don’t have one 😅

More about hotels in Pasay

Pasay: Gateway to Philippine Adventures and Urban Excitement

Pasay City, a dynamic urban centre within Metro Manila, offers a compelling blend of modern entertainment, commercial hubs, and convenient access to the Philippines' vibrant culture. For international travellers, it serves as a crucial entry point, boasting proximity to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and a wealth of attractions that cater to diverse interests. From world-class entertainment complexes to bustling shopping districts, Pasay presents a multifaceted experience that sets the stage for exploring the wider archipelago. Its convenient location and developing infrastructure make it an increasingly attractive destination for those seeking a taste of Filipino urban life.

The city's character is not monolithic; it shifts dramatically between its distinct districts. Newport City, for instance, is a self-contained township that feels like a world apart, offering integrated resorts, casinos, and entertainment venues. In contrast, areas closer to the Mall of Asia complex or the older parts of Pasay reveal a more traditional urban Filipino landscape, with bustling markets and local eateries. Understanding these variations is key for any visitor, as choosing a base in Pasay can significantly shape the overall travel experience, influencing accessibility to specific attractions and the general ambiance of your stay.

With an average starting price of just ₱ 448.01 per night and an impressive overall review score of 8.3 from over 55,000 guests, Pasay presents itself as a remarkably accessible destination for international travellers. This value proposition is particularly appealing to visitors from the United States, Europe, and India, who often find the cost of accommodation and dining significantly more affordable compared to their home countries. This affordability does not compromise quality, as evidenced by the high ratings, suggesting that travellers can expect excellent service and amenities without an exorbitant price tag.

The accommodation landscape in Pasay is as varied as its districts, featuring everything from globally recognized brands to more localized establishments. For example, the Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts offers a luxurious experience within the integrated township, while the Belmont Hotel Manila near NAIA Terminal 3 provides a convenient and well-appointed option for those prioritizing airport access. These hotels exemplify the range of quality and service available, making it easier for travellers to find a place that suits their needs and budget. You can easily book hotel accommodations that align with your travel plans.

Pasay is a destination that can resonate with a broad spectrum of international visitors. American travellers might appreciate the modern amenities and entertainment options, particularly in areas like Newport City. European travellers, often drawn to cultural experiences, can find a gateway to historical sites in nearby Manila and enjoy the city's developing arts scene. For Indian travellers, the connectivity, diverse culinary offerings, and value for money make Pasay an attractive choice. While direct travel from many African nations might be less common, Pasay's role as a major hub in Southeast Asia makes it an accessible and engaging stopover.

Best Areas to Stay in Pasay

Pasay City is a sprawling metropolis with distinct neighbourhoods, each offering a unique flavour and set of advantages for international visitors. The choice of where to stay can profoundly influence your experience, from the type of attractions you can easily access to the overall atmosphere of your trip. Whether you're seeking the glitz of integrated resorts or the convenience of proximity to the airport, understanding Pasay's diverse districts is crucial for planning a memorable stay.

Newport City

Newport City presents a modern, self-contained urban environment that feels distinct from the rest of Pasay. It's a hub for entertainment, gaming, and luxury accommodation, making it particularly appealing to travellers who enjoy integrated resort experiences. The area is home to Resorts World Manila, a sprawling complex featuring casinos, a theatre, a shopping mall, and a wide array of dining options. For visitors from the US and Europe who appreciate convenience and a polished atmosphere, Newport City offers a comfortable and engaging base, with many hotels providing direct access to these amenities.

From Newport City, accessing major entertainment venues like Resorts World Manila and the nearby Newport Performing Arts Theater is effortless. For those interested in gaming or catching a show, this district is unparalleled. Travellers can also easily reach the SM Mall of Asia complex via a short drive. Getting to Newport City from NAIA is straightforward, with numerous taxi and ride-hailing services readily available, often just a few minutes' drive from the airport terminals. It’s a prime location to book attractions and entertainment.

Mall of Asia (MOA) Complex Area

The Mall of Asia Complex area is a vibrant commercial and entertainment district centred around one of the largest shopping malls in the world. This precinct is a magnet for shoppers, food enthusiasts, and families, offering a vast array of retail outlets, diverse dining experiences, and entertainment facilities like the SM Skating Rink and the SM IMAX Cinema. Its bayside location also provides scenic sunset views. This area is particularly well-suited for travellers from India and other parts of Asia who enjoy extensive shopping and a lively, bustling atmosphere.

Beyond the mall itself, the MOA Complex area offers attractions such as the Manila Baywalk, perfect for evening strolls, and proximity to the SMX Convention Center for business travellers. It's also a convenient launchpad for exploring other parts of Metro Manila. Transportation to and from NAIA is efficient, with many hotels offering shuttle services or being a short taxi ride away. The area is well-connected by public transport, including buses and light rail, making it easy to navigate the city.

Malibay

Malibay represents a more local and densely populated segment of Pasay, offering a glimpse into everyday Filipino urban life. While it may lack the polished sheen of Newport City or the MOA Complex, it provides a more authentic experience for travellers seeking to connect with the local culture and find more budget-friendly accommodation and dining options. This area can be particularly interesting for adventurous travellers from any region who are keen to explore beyond the typical tourist trails and experience the city's authentic pulse.

Exploring Malibay means discovering local markets, smaller eateries serving Filipino comfort food, and a more intimate understanding of the city's rhythm. It’s an area where you can find more affordable lodging and experience the genuine warmth of Filipino hospitality. While it might not have major tourist landmarks within its immediate vicinity, its central location within Pasay makes it a practical base for accessing other parts of the city via local jeepneys and tricycles, offering a truly immersive cultural encounter.

Baclaran

Baclaran is renowned for its bustling marketplace, particularly the Baclaran Church area, which is a significant pilgrimage site and a hub for bargain shopping. This district is a sensory explosion, filled with vendors selling everything from clothing and accessories to religious items and street food. It’s an area that thrives on commerce and offers a vibrant, albeit sometimes chaotic, experience. Travellers from all backgrounds who enjoy lively markets and the thrill of finding unique deals will find Baclaran an engaging place to explore.

The primary draw of Baclaran is its extensive market, where haggling is part of the experience. The nearby Redemptorist Church is a focal point for many visitors. While accommodation options might be more basic here, the area is well-served by public transportation, including the LRT-1 line, making it easy to reach other parts of Metro Manila. It’s a place to experience the energetic side of Pasay, offering a stark contrast to the more curated environments of other districts.

Libertad / Pasay City Proper

The Libertad and general Pasay City Proper areas offer a mix of commercial activity and residential neighbourhoods, providing a more grounded urban experience. This part of Pasay is characterized by local businesses, community centres, and a more laid-back pace compared to the major commercial hubs. It’s an area that appeals to travellers looking for a less tourist-centric environment, perhaps those who have visited the Philippines before or are seeking a more integrated stay within a local community.

Within Pasay City Proper, visitors can find local eateries, smaller shops, and a sense of community life. It’s an area where you can observe daily routines and interact with residents. While it may not boast major international attractions, its accessibility via public transport makes it a functional base for exploring the wider Metro Manila region. For travellers seeking an authentic slice of urban Filipino life away from the major tourist crowds, this part of Pasay offers a genuine perspective.
