Great place to chill out
Nitivos is a local, Filipino-owned resort along a string of beachfront resorts mostly owned by Chinese nationals. It is located at the northern outskirts of Puerto Princesa, around 1 1/2 - 2 hours from the city center along the highway that stretches until El Nido. This is a quiet and peaceful place -- great if you are just looking to chill-out and if you're not being tour-hungry. Elena and her staff are very helpful and they tell interesting stories. You could also ask them to bring you around the area. The beach is not jawdropping but a good thing to do here is hire a boat from one of the locals. There are great snorkeling areas within a kilometer from the beach, near some of the local seaweed farms. Again, great place if you are allergic to too many people.

....this resort is perfect to relax. It is close to ocean and many places to relax. We were spoil by dishes from Elend and sometimes walk to Shop down the street. WiFi is available at the bar and room are convinient for a longer stay. I stayed here for 4 days and felt great.

Far from everything, but excellent for relaxing
A wonderful park by the sea with many palms, hibiscus, orchids, heliconia and other tropical trees and flowers. Also many naivistic sculptures, which were interesting. 8 rooms w private bathrooms and AC. It's a Philippino family enterprice, which feels good, because so many hotels are owned by Chinese, and the money flows out of the country. Elena was the one in the staff with all contacts with the guests. She worked in the front desk and cooked in the kitchen from early morning to late evening, every day. She was extremely helpful and wanted to make all guests happy. She improvised many vegetarian dishes that were not on the menu, because we don't eat meat or chicken. Elena can arrange a lady for massage, we booked her, and she was skillful, for a reasonable price. She also followed us to Sabang one day, with public transport, it was an interesting excursion. Unfortunately we had not booked the trip to "Underground river" so we missed it, but the day was nice anyway, with marvellous views from the bus windows. The resort area, the park and the beach were quiet, and some 3-4 km from the small village San Rafael, where you could find small street shops for some snacks and drinks. Book a tricycle to come there, or stand by the road and wait for a local bus. If you look for activities, book something else, but if you want to relax, read, explore the quiet beach and nature, you are on the right spot. Wi-fi worked sometimes, sometimes not. But that is normal in most accommodations of this price class, so nothing to worry about. We had bought Philippino simcards, so we had mobile data most of the time.
