I enjoyed my stay at The Carmen Hotel. The room is spacious and cozy and they have very comfortable bed and pillows. There's also a gym which I really like so I can still workout even on a vacation. I was also able to relax by taking a dip to the hotel's swimming pool. The hotel staffs are also warm, welcoming and helpful. Great location too!
Had a wonderful time. Although hope the pool could be cleaned as we saw bugs in the pool.

Would not stay anywhere else in Naga City
The room was very spacious (room for two roll away beds and still had room to move about. The beds were comfortable, the AirCon was perfect, the bathroom was very large and had hot water. The room service was fast and affordable. The free breakfast at the Baba Restaurant was wonderful. The property has a very nice pool lit nicely at night. The ONLY thing I was disappointed with was the internet. The last two days we were there, there was no access.

Nice hotel but sarcastic and rude receptionist
I called them 1 day before my arrival and confirmed if i can check in earlier and they said yes. Told them ETA is 8am and they confirmed it. When i arrived, the receptionist sarcastically told me that it is standard that i will check in 2pm. So what happened to their earlier commitment? So this rude receptionist told me that i can sit at the lobby until 2pm and stay there. I think this girl has an issue. However, they can just tell me earlier that they are fully booked so that i can made some arrangements with nearby hotels just for a place to sleep. I travelled from Baguio to Naga City straight driving and i think they should have handled it better and be more considerate. But over all the facilities were nice. Manager waived the extra bed charge for my 2 year old kid. Fair enough but still they should re train their staffs and be more customer service oriented.

Value stay
The place is right in Centro so you are walking distance from several dining places, churches, and other attractions. Breakfast selection could still be improved but I especially liked their champorado. It was so yummy! Not much of a menu selection in their resto. Hope they can have moe selections. We wanted to try thier guinumis but it's only offered as part of their set meal Rooms smell really nice as the place is still quite new. The room we had was quite spacious. We had the view of the street which was a little obstructed by the front design of the hotel. You cab fo to the rooftop to see the view of Naga city. The pool is up to 5 feet deep, enough for swim practice, but it could get crowded when there are a lot of guests. Also, best time to swim is early in the morning or late in the afternoon as the area is quite exposed to the sun. Pool could do some more cleaning. There were some flies, leaves, and twigs floating around, and the overflow made its way to the patio when we got there on the first day. If you happen to get a room beside or across noisy occupants, you can probably easily hear them. We were a little annoyed on our second night as a child across the room from us was playing with the door and kept on setting the alarm.

We had our family staycation last Oct.28-29, 2017. Right in time for my daughter trick or treat halloween party at the said hotel. The staff were all trained and very accommodating. As well as manong guard na pinarahan pa kmi ng tricycle, it was a nice gesture from him. The hotel lobby is very nice and spacious, the rooms were clean, and the pool was nice and they provide towel for guests at the pool area. The buffet breakfast was good- dried fish was superb! 👍 highly recommended for a family staycation.

early room cleaning
overall, the hotel was very good, the rooms were very spacious, the staff were great, and the breakfast great . It would be excellent if the rooms were already cleaned at the latest early in the afternoon before the guests goes back to the room.
