Hotel Laonzena

Hotel Laonzena was an average hotel and I would give it 3 stars. Our check-in process wasn't very welcoming - we arrived at 1.45pm, just an hour before the official check-in time of 3pm. We asked if we could check in early but the front desk lady immediately dismissed our request and told us to come back at 3pm. She didn't even take the initiative to check her computer to see if a room was available. That left us with quite the unwelcoming experience. The room was a bit dated and tired looking, and small. The double bed also wasn't that comfortable. The bathroom was good though. The swimming pool was closed throughout our stay. They gave us a single coupon for breakfast which was very strange given there were two of us. The breakfast layout was very strange - there were about 7-8 round tables with 6 chairs each. Food was mainly Korean cuisine but the coffee was good. Unlike the check-in experience, the front desk staff during our check-out were very friendly and polite. They even stored our luggage for us in a secure location after we checked out, and even called us a taxi to the train station. They told us the ride was about 7 minutes and would cost around 7,000 Won, and it was very accurate.

I used this hotel with my co-worker. It is good location for our business. We enjoyed breakfast. It was valuable and delicious.

Hotel condition is terrible. My daughter sat on the chair they provided and chair was turn into pieces right away. The room is dark, old. Lucky we only stay one night.

Great stay, but it's a kind of old fasion.

Basic amenities were ok, but there was only one electrical outlet available and bi had to unplug a lamp to charge my phone.

Was not as clean and saw dead mosquito on the wall. Not sure why this is a 4 star, I think it should be a 3 star instead. Coffee shop and convenience store downstairs is really convenient.

Good location with reasonable price. Recommended if you visit Daegu

Decent hotel

1. Clean room, lobby, hallways. 2. Allowed me to check in 1 hour early. Thank you front desk. 3. No fancy amenities. Extra charge for the swimming pool. 4. Excellent location with plenty of restaurant choices in walking distance.

Nice and clean Friendly front desk staff Conviently located

WiFi was not working, asked to move room, explained the problem, gave a simple solution, they took more than 30 minutes to implemented and wasted time. I did not mind this, but what I do mind is when hotel employees lied to justify hotel deficiencies. I highly suggest to believe their customer, because customer may know best. It was a minor inconvenience but caused my work to be significantly late. I am willing to stay again.

Need AC controls; but an amazing hotel

This is a hotel. Not “love-hotel” good for business traveler. Good location, coffee shop , pool. Fitness center. Seems was very well built for. 4 star hotel. It could take little more detail in cleanliness LA traveler

It’s ok hotel, but the bathroom do not have shower current

I had a great stay at Hotel Laonzena. I arrived in the morning and they held onto my luggage for me until I could check in. They allowed me to check in a little early, and I was upgraded to a suite! I had a huge bed and even a bathtub. I was heading to Dongdaegu Station when I was checking out, and the front desk arranged a taxi for me and it wasn't too far away. I would definitely stay here again!

I was disappointed that the pool advertised as part of the hotel is actually part of the health club in the building. Even with an extra fee it is only available to guests for limited hours.

Stayed during lunar new year holidays. The rooms and parking facilities were good but there were lack of staff and the restaurant was full of guests and no enough food remained.

All goood inc. The convenience store staff located at lobby corner.

Room was not bad but the smell of room especially in toilet was disgusting.

I travelled from the east coast of the U.S. to Deagu for a week on business. I arrived early and the hotel staff was very kind and allowed me to check in early. This was very nice considering I had been travelling for nearly 42 hours. The hotel is very well located. If you arrive by train, you can get on the 814 Bus for 1,200 WON and travel 5 stops to the Stadium stop, get off and walk around the corner to the hotel. There are nice amenities within the hotel. There is many places to eat all within 5 minutes of walking. There is a very large shopping mall within 20 minutes of walking. The maglev metro line is directly out front of the building - don't worry, you can't hear it from inside. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel as well. I did not use this bus though. There are always taxis passing by in front of the hotel. If you are concerned about a breakdown in communication, the hotel staff will be glad to go out and hail a cab and tell them where to take you. My only complaint is that I'm a westerner and we like comfortable beds. Apparently the beds in Korea are not exactly comfortable. I have also stayed in two other hotels which had even worse mattresses. If the room had a more comfortable mattress I would have given it at least a 4, if not a 5. That is my only complaint. Everything else was very nice.
