We had an amazing stay. We spent a little more to be closer to nature and away from the town and it was definitely worth it. While still walkable to the town and the night markets, The Legend offers a nice secluded vibe with an amazing staff who are well versed in hospitality. The GM there, Eric Hallin, is a warm and convivial host. He personally greeted us at our check in and made sure to touch base with us at breakfast or in passing throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. He could always be found making rounds during mealtimes chatting with all the guests and making sure everyone was satisfied. The rooms were very clean and spacious and it was a quiet, comfortable sleep. The pool area backs on to the river and we loved enjoying happy hour with a great view. Would highly recommend!

20 mn away from the center by walk, but not a problem with the Bolt application: less than 100 bahts to go (less than 10mn)

A beautiful property suffered from a major flood a few months back. It is clear they are still recovering. Our room was beautiful, spacious, quiet, and clean. The resort has a great spa and breakfast. The property has grown trees beautifully kept with tasteful decoration. The general manager greeted us every morning. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite except for the main person at the front desk. This is why we rated the proper four stars instead for of five. The hotel site & guest booklet suggested that we contact the front desk for most of our questions. However, we stayed for 5days/4 nights and every time we sought help from the front desk we had to deal with the most unhelpful and unenthusiastic receptionist. We had to force her to say hello to us and probed her to answer questions otherwise she would just say and looked at us blankly. My daughter thought it maybe because we are Thai and not foreigners. She needs a new career option & the resort definitely needs an enthusiastic happy front desk person who is willing to step out in front to assist guests. We dreaded having to ask for help from the front desk and hope that other guests didn’t have similar experience. If so, it is so unfortunate for such a wonderful team of staff & a great facility

It’s good hotel overall if you are staying at Chiang Raí for a day or two, not luxurious - it’s does the job. You have to have an open mind it in a small town and that’s pretty much what they have to offer.
Over all ok for the price. Limited transportation, you have to arrange taxi for round trip if want to go to downtown

The best two things about this property are the extremely friendly staff and the relaxing pool. The food is just okay, but the service is excellent. The staff go out of their way to give assistance. The location on the river is also a great feature.

This was a lovely hotel. It consists of a number of buildings with different sized rooms, all spacious. I had a more basic room but it still had a large bed and daybed as well as space for a decent bathroom and storage.
The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice.
The location of the hotel by the river is lovely but it is a little out of the centre of town. You can walk to the night bazaar in 20 to 30 minutes ,
I believe you could get a taxi relatively easily for a reasonable price.
I would certainly recommend this hotel for a quiet restful break and I would certainly book the hotel again
