DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, STAY AT THIS DISGUSTING PROPERTY. THE HEAVY SET GUY MANAGING THE PROPERTY IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF. LOOK AT THE OTHER REVIEWS OF STAFF STEALING FROM GUESTS. After an extremely long transcontinental flight, we were very tired but excited about our family trip back to Vietnam. As soon as we walked in, the fat f*ck running this extremely dirty and run down hotel tried to scam us into paying extra for breakfast and showed a bogus document from Expedia stating that we booked our stay for only 3 guests. Even after I showed him my receipt from Expedia, clearly showing 5 guests he insisted that we were in the wrong. We actually own rental property and use Expedia so I knew immediately he was lying and fabricated a fake document. After I threatened to cancel my reservation and give him a bad review, he finally shut his big mouth. When we finally got up to our room, we immediately noticed it was absolutely filthy, super run down, black mold everywhere and the bathroom door didn’t even close all the way which means no privacy when showering. We had to book another hotel late at night and pay double the normal price. My wife and children are Vietnamese and lived in Vietnam for many years so we know what to expect and this was not even close to a one star experience. My photos back up all my claims so if these clowns try to respond with a denial, you know what the truth is. We are filing an official complaint with Expedia

Staff were good, no complaints. You get what you pay for, average hotel. T.v wasnt working as usual in vietnam. The safe in room didnt have batteries, so was unusable, breakfast is in another hotel 1 minutes walk, good selection on offer, very good.

It was not a good experience. First the room smelled dank. That’s partially due to a leak in the sink. Told them when we first arrive there after check in. They say they will dice it. They never did. Told them the second day again. They never fixed it. I asked them for extra towel so we can line the restroom floor due to the leak. They said they ran out. They keep passing the buck from the night and shift. On the 3rd day. They change rooms for us. They say they will move our luggage for us. They never did. In the second room the shower head holder was broken. When you turn it on it sprayed everywhere in the restroom due to high water pressure. Second issue was the bath towels. They are old and tattered. Looks disgusting. More like a rag. Third issue is the breakfast buffet. You have to walk 100 meters to a different hotel. Not convenient. The selection there is terrible. I’ve stayed in Hanoi several time and this by far is the worst hotel ever.

Great budget hotel in an excellent location in the Old Quarter, surrounded by restaurants, cafés, spas, and countless other shops and services. Tour companies, currency exchange, and laundry services are on every corner. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the hotel has an elevator. They also offer tour services and airport transfers, which is super convenient. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to help with any requests or questions. Breakfast is included, though it's served in a building just a 2-3 minute walk away.

Dining was at another location. No safe in our room, no chair. Broken PowerPoints, so one was Overloaded. No safety latch on door. No hanging facility. No bedside table. BUT was moved to another room which was much better. Staff were accommodating.

To eat breakfast, you have to walk to other location, and the food were limited

The staff were quite friendly and attentive to my and my friends’ needs. The laundry service is fantastic with a fast turn around time. They also helped me with a taxi to the airport which made things very simple and easy. I was disappointed that my room did not have a water boiler, yet they had tea cups in the room.

Excellent location on a quieter street in Hanoi's Old Quarter. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were relatively spacious in comparison to other hotels in Vietnam. Great price for an Old Quarter hotel.

This hotel is in a perfect area of the Old Quarter. It is a small hotel located in a narrow side street. The room was very clean and staff was very helpful. The breakfast is good. The location was also very quiet. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to visit. I highly recommend this hotel. A great value

I stayed for 2 days at the Serendipity Hotel during my stay in Hanoi and everything was perfect. Excellent location in old Hanoi, large, quiet and clean rooms. and above all a great staff. Their advice of restaurants and cafes are great, they only offer places frequented by Vietmamese, out of the tourist circuits . A highly recommend for a stay in Hanoi .

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. The location is very central and you can reach many points well on foot. The staff is very friendly and the check-in was very fast. Also the breakfast fulfilled our expectation. The cleanliness of the rooms is very good. Can be recommended for a city trip of this kind. Thank you for the pleasant stay, hotel staff.

Perfectly located in the heart of old Hanoi, close to the lake and shopping streets. Very comfortable and clean, silent at night .. perfect for resting an urban day The staff very available and smiling, speaks very good English. They are also great tips for restaurants or activities. We stayed for 2 nights, a faultless one. We recommend this hotel

Super hotel, very well quoted in the center of Hanoi. Very nice and helpful staff. Clean and functional rooms. Very good breakfast. A very family-friendly hotel where my mother has been staying for 5 years for work, without any disappointment.

The construction next door was noisy, drilling into the middle of the night! And starting their work early at 6am! Room floor was dusty throughout my week of stay because of the construction. Staff is helpful and cheerful. Great location!

This is the best rating I've ever written, and I probably will not be able to write anything better that that everything was just right: location, facilities and above all the service. The staff was incredible, especially Liliy who give you the feeling of being totally welcome. Efficient organization, helpfulness and a very good gastronomy complete the very positive impression. Many thanks to all who made our stay unforgettable!

Staff was really nice and helpful, comfortable room (comfortable bedding, king-size bed and no noise), very good location (within the old quarter), hearty breakfast with choice, reasonable price ... In short, everything was excellent.

Great hotel we took the Double with private bathroom, The room was perfect! The staff are very friendly always at the little care, they helped us book a 1 night and 2 day cruise to Halong Bay as well as to take the night bus to South Vietnam. Everything was very well organized for the trips.

The staff is very friendly, always available and good advice. We were very caring! The room was lovely and very good breakfast too. The location in Old Hanoi is great because the room was quiet and so convenient to get access historical sites, restaurants on foot. The hotel organized tour to Ha Long Bay and the organization was really good.
