Coldra Court Hotel by Celtic Manor

I was very underwhelmed by this hotel. We just ate in the bar and my pizza was covered in garlic mayonnaise which was disgusting to be honest. One of the mattress in the room (we stayed in a twin) was very noisy, old and mobile and kept us awake when moving at night. The staff were nice but the hotel is basic

Good generally , pool was out of action which I didn’t know otherwise I would have stayed elsewhere.

Room was good over than it being freezing cold with the even on full blast Alot of hidden fees that wasnt stated online prior to making the booking Parking is too expensive £26 for two days is a joke £50 deposit when you arrive also which is mental !

Room spotless would have liked a shower rather than bath. No air conditioning yet electric heater on wall, kept ticking as warmed up. Outlook from our window very poor. Pool closed.

Check in only interested in having my credit card. Bath shown on picture when booking only shower. Given room run at the end next to the bedroom supply rooms, very noisy.

£13.50 to park over night is crazy for out of city accommodation…. Room was ok but tired… gym and gym staff friendly as was bar staff. Grill and bar food on the high side

The room was well kept. The staff were all lovely and polite creating a great atmosphere this was our second stay in two months and we look forward to returning again.

Fabulous stay - the rooms are a great size and very modern. Was great to have the room for a small extra cost till 4 pm. I do think if you are staying in the hotel you shouldn’t be charged for car parking - this should be complimentary as a guest.

Room was spotlessly clean, staff were so welcoming and friendly. Swimming pool was great and the food at the restaurant was outstanding as was the service!!

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We checked in at 4:02 p.m., and from that moment the experience went downhill. The receptionist who checked us in told us that we had to book a time slot to use the swimming pool. Since it was already 4:02, she said we couldn’t use the pool right away and had to book the next available slot at 5:30 p.m. When we went to the pool at 5:30, we were told to come back later at 6:15, and then again at 9:00 a.m. the next day, which made no sense — especially with young children. Every time we tried to go, the staff kept changing our booking or canceling it without a proper explanation. When I finally took a photo of our confirmed 6:15 booking to prove our slot, they still refused to let us in, claiming it wasn’t possible because our booking was “only for four kids and one adult.” This was completely unfair, as we followed all their booking rules. It honestly felt like they were making fun of us and simply didn’t want to let us use the facilities. To make things worse, the gym receptionist told us directly that we were not allowed to go there and that it was up to him whether anyone could use the gym or pool. He even said that the gym and pool “belong to him,” which was shocking and completely unprofessional. Overall, we paid for facilities that we were repeatedly denied access to, and the staff’s behavior was unacceptable. The whole experience was frustrating, disrespectful, and disappointing.
