Please be advised that this voucher is not a valid travel document or ticket for train boarding. Below you will find the quick guide on how to retrieve, add, activate and use your mobile pass via the Rail Planner App:
Step 1: Download the Rail Planner App on APP Store or Google Play, tap “Get started” and select “Eurail Pass”.
Step 2: “Add a pass” by selecting “Mobile Pass” and entering your last name and 6-digit pass number (please refer to the “Reminder” section above on your voucher).
Step 3: “Connect a trip” by entering a trip name as you like. A trip would be an e-folder storing your multiple train journeys. Each Pass needs its own trip.
Step 4: “Active this Pass” by entering passport no. and selecting your first travel day that you are going to use your mobile pass for train boarding. *IMPORTANT: The date you selected during booking doesn’t matter. You can activate the Pass and choose any day that is within 11 months from the date of purchase as your first travel day during pass activation. You can cancel your first travel day any time before the start of that day 00:00 CET.
Step 5: Go to “Planner” on the bottom menu, search and plan a train journey by entering departure train station, arrival train station, date and time.
Step 6: Select your preferred train journey and tap “save journey” to save it to “My Trip”. IMPORTANT: Reservations are NOT included in your Eurail Pass. If reservations are required on your train journey (marked with “seat reservation required”), you will need to book and pay for a seat reservation separately in advance. The seats available for pass holders’ reservation are limited and on a first come, first served basis.
Step 7: Go to “My Trip” on the bottom menu and add your saved train journeys to your Pass and the ticket of that travel day. Once your saved train journey is added successfully, it will be marked with a yellow light.
Step 8: Go to “My Pass” on the bottom menu and tap “Show ticket” under that travel day for inspection. Each travel day has a separate ticket with a QR code. You can open the gates at some train stations (e.g. Netherlands) with the QR code on your ticket. IMPORTANT: The ticket inspector will scan the QR code and check whether the train journey you are on has been added to your ticket. They will also check your seat reservation, personal information and may ask to see your passport.
More information about seat reservation, refund policy and FAQs, please refer to the voucher
Seat reservation: Reservations are not included in your Eurail Pass. Reservations are compulsory for most high-speed trains, international cross-country trains and all overnight trains in Europe. If reservations are required on your train journey (marked with “seat reservation required” in Rail Planner App), you will need to book and pay for a seat reservation separately in advance. It is recommended to make seat reservation at least 1-2 weeks in advance during low seasons and at least 4-6 weeks in advance during peak seasons or festival periods at the departure train stations or via Rail Planner App
Refund: You may submit a refund request within 360 days from the date of purchase provided that your Eurail Pass is not added, not activated and/or not used via Rail Planner APP, please contact customer service for such services. Please note that added, activated and/or used passes are non-refundable. Your Pass is considered activated and/or used when your first travel day has started (for a Flexi Pass), or from when your validity has started (for a Continuous Pass), even if you do not board any trains with your Eurail Pass or you still have travel days left. An added and activated mobile Pass can still be deactivated any time before the start of the first travel day within its validity period. You can do this by cancelling ALL activated travel days in the “My Pass” section of the Rail Planner APP
FAQs 1: Can I choose another date as my first travel day that is different from, earlier or later than the date selected during booking? Yes, you can activate the Pass and choose any day that is within 11 months from the date of purchase as your first travel day during pass activation on the Rail Planner APP. The date you selected during booking doesn’t matter
FAQs 2: What is a seat reservation? Reservations are compulsory for most high-speed trains, international cross-country trains and all overnight trains in Europe. Reservations are not included in your Eurail Pass. If reservations are required on your train journey (marked with “seat reservation required”), you will need to book and pay for a seat reservation separately in advance. It is recommended to make seat reservation at least 1-2 weeks in advance during low seasons and at least 4-6 weeks in advance during peak seasons or festival periods at the departure train stations or via Rail Planner App. The seats available for pass holders’ reservation are limited and on a first come, first served basis.
FAQ 3: Is adding a journey to my Pass the same as a reservation? No, adding a journey to your Pass is not a reservation. If reservations are also required on your journey, you will need to book and pay for a seat reservation separately. The ticket inspector will ask to see your seat reservation when you show your ticket in the app. If seat reservations are not required, you can choose any unreserved seat on board (except in 1st class if you have a 2nd class Pass). Adding a journey to your Pass does not mean you have an allocated seat.
FAQs 4: What should I do if I lose or break my phone? If you lose or break the device with your Pass, please contact your pass seller as soon as possible. Be sure to include your Pass number, last name, first name, and passport number in your initial message. Please note that once the Pass is activated and used for travel, it cannot be transferred to another device. We will unlink/unregister your Pass from the current device, and you will need to load and add it to a new device. This process may take 1-3 working days. If you need to board a train during this time, you will have to purchase a separate ticket for your journey at your own cost, as refunds are not possible. In case of urgency, during non-working hours, or on public holidays, please go to the "More" menu in the Rail Planner App, tap "Help Centre," then "Contact Us," "Other Services," and "Something Else" to fill out an enquiry form, providing the essential information above for assistance.
For further instructions, tips and FAQs, please refer to the “Eurail Mobile Pass Pocket Guide & FAQs” (https://rb.gy/jzfuie), “Eurail Mobile Pass Video Guide”(https://rb.gy/fbkplq) or go to “More” on the bottom menu in the Rail Planner App and tap “Rail network guides”, “Benefits”, “Help centre” or “Seat reservations”
Failure to follow the instructions and guidelines properly may result in your Pass being invalid for travel. If you travel with an invalid Eurail Pass, you may be subject to a fine or penalty, the payment of a full-fare ticket, or both, depending on the rules of the relevant railway or ferry company
In case of dispute, the decision of Traveloka and its suppliers shall be final
