What is unique about Mount Bromo is that its body shape is still connected between valleys and canyons with a caldera or sea of sand covering an area of 10 km/square. Not only that, Mount Bromo has a crater with a diameter of around 800 km (from north to south) and around 600 km (from east to west). For areas that are considered dangerous, that is a circle with a radius of up to 4 km from the center of the crater.

During the 20th and 21st centuries, it was recorded that Mount Bromo had erupted several times at fairly regular intervals, namely 30 years. The largest eruption occurred in 1974 and the last eruption occurred in 2016.

For residents around Mount Bromo, the Tengger tribe, Mount Bromo or Mount Brahma is believed to be the Holy Mountain. Once a year the people of Tengger hold the Yadnya Kasada or Kasodo ceremony. This ceremony took place in a temple at the foot of Mount Bromo and continued to the top of Bromo. The ceremony is held at midnight until early morning every full moon around the 14th or 15th of the month of Kasodo (tenth) according to the Javanese calendar.

– Signs cannot be refunded if there is a cancellation from the guest, free reschedule for confirmation up to 1 day.

– The itinerary is not standard and can change due to conditions in the Bromo area (traffic, weather) without disturbing the overall agenda.
