Clown Trigger Fish: This fish has a beautiful and unique coloration. The ventral surface has large, white spots on a dark background, and its dorsal surface has black spots on yellow.
Orangelined Triggerfish: Also known as the Undulate Triggerfish, these beauties are found throughout the Indo west Pacific area, including the southern Great Barrier Reef. Triggerfish are named for the 'trigger' mechanism of their dorsal spines. When avoiding predation, the main dorsal spine will snap up, and lock in place with a second a 'trigger' spine. Only when the trigger spine is moved can the main dorsal spine be lowered.
Mandarin Fish: The Synchiropus splendidus, or better known as the Mandarin Fish gets it's name from its extremely vivid colouration, evoking the robes of an Imperial Chinese mandarin.
Pufferfish: Pufferfish contain tetrodotoxi. To humans, tetrodotoxin is 1200x more deadly than cyanide! They have powerful jaws, with teeth that have been fused to create a strong crushing plate.
4. Stingrays
SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's has collections of stingray, from baby stingray to the largest in the world. Here is it:
Short Tail Stingray: The Short Tail Stingray is the largest stingray in the world! It can grow upwards of 2.1m (6.9ft) wide and weigh over 350Kg (770lb). SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's has three resident stingrays. They are Barbara, Penny and Molly.
Eagle Rays: Eagle Rays are commonly mistaken for baby Stingrays. However, these are fully grown Eagle Rays, they can reach up to 1.5 metres.

Sand Tiger Shark: The largest species of shark we have here at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's is the Sand Tiger Shark - also know as the Grey Nurse Shark. These amazing animals can be found in the sub-tropical and temperate waters worldwide including Japan, North America, Australia, and South Africa.
Broadnose Sevengill Shark: With a wiggly, lethargic swimming style and a small dorsal fin that looks like it's slipped down its back; the Sevengill gives the impression that it's clumsy and docile. Nothing could be further from the truth, however, as it can have explosive bursts of speed. Its toothless smile belies a top jaw full of razor-sharp pointed teeth, which are designed to pin its prey. The bottom jaw has rows of rectangular teeth, each with many serrations - a very efficient and effective sawing tool.
School Shark: Found throughout New Zealand, the school shark is the smallest species of shark in Shark Alley only growing up to 2 metres in length. As the name suggests they are found in schools, often in shallow water such as estuaries, harbors and surf beaches
