The Jiuliao River Natural Ecological Education Park is located in Lunpi Village, Datong Township, on Provincial Highway 7 of the Yilan Branch of the Cross-Island Highway. Under the promotion and protection of the ecological stream by the Datong Township Office and the Lunpi Community Development Association, it is completely unpolluted. The two virgin waterfalls upstream have abundant water and clear streams. The most common fish species are bitterling and river bass. Jiuliao River has become the best place for river tracing fitness and outdoor teaching. The total length of the Jiuliao Creek Trail is 1.8km (about 2.2km from the park to the trail entrance). It is a typical subtropical forest with lush ferns and ground cover vegetation, towering broad-leaved trees and lauraceae plants, and various insects. There are 4 suspension bridges along the way, including the Huoyun Bridge symbolizing the Eye of the Ancestral Spirit, the Baga Suspension Bridge made of cables, and the Haai Suspension Bridge without archways or piers. The arch bridge at the end is the Linpu Bridge, where the beautiful and majestic Geba Waterfall unfolds before your eyes, making you feel relaxed and comfortable. Due to the inherent geological conditions and the fast and rapid flow of the Jiuliao Creek, a steep river valley was cut out, and the originally gentle confluence was divided into a height difference. As a result, this waterfall is about 50 meters high, as we can see. During the rainy season, when the water volume is large, the width of the waterfall can reach 5 meters and hang on the shoulder of the mountain.

Mingchi Forest Recreation Area is a high mountain lake, with an altitude of 1150-1700 meters. It has a cool and pleasant climate and is a famous summer resort in the north. It not only has rich forest landscapes, but also black swans, birds, butterflies, squirrels, mandarin ducks, mallards, etc., which shuttle through the forest from time to time, always bringing unexpected surprises and touches to tourists!
