Located in the bustling heart of Amsterdam, the Melkweg, or Milkyway in English, is one of the city's leading entertainment and cultural venues with two halls, a cinema, a theatre, and a cafe with a varied live program, ranging from up-and-coming bands to established names to seated concerts. From the abandoned dairy factory in 1970, this place was then turned into a temporary project, a place for young people to hang out during the summer in 1973. Now it has become one of the most well-known cultural venues.
